You need all the djinn from the first GS to beat "the boss that is supposedly hardy? than the final boss.

The boss you are trying to beat is a guardian called Dullahan. When you acquire all the djinn you got to go to teleport circle in Contigo. Use teleport and you'd be teleported to Anemos Sanctum. There go through the maze and fight Dullahan.

Remember, you need all the djinn from GS.

If you don't have them all, check Djinni quides for some of GS1 Djinni hidden in GS2. When you Beat Dullahan you get Iris.

Yes, if you did not get all the djinni in Gs1 you can still get them in Gs2. Iris is the last and most powerful summon.

If you missed one or more Djinn, then you'll find one of each element of the one you missed on certain places.

You should complete gs1 because its a better game than gs2 and so you can transfer data with the items and djiin.

I think GS2 is better, but it is worth your time to play GS1, you get more of the plot and it's a fun game as well.

You dont have enemy's in golden sun two. Agatio and Karst is someone you fight but they want the same thing you do. Satauros and Menardi are real enemies Satauros was the best video game enemy in my opinion.

I think Alex was cooler, but GS1 has better pure enemies, you're right, but I liked GS2 just because you get to explore further reaches and get a cool flying ship.

I thought the flying ship was really cool... :D
Anyway you HAVE to play GS1 before you play GS2 cos then you know the story line better...
Unless of course you already have but I just misread the topic title...
