    If we did ever get overworld psynergy in GSW, what do you guys think would be reasonable psynergy?

    I think we should have pound, something to use when we're messing around with people, and have it make the person who was pounded dizzy for a few seconds. It could be used in games like Tag.

        Ideally I would like to have the sprites/animations for all the overworld psynergies, including any variations for each (for example, Parch is a big circle with the water vapor when it works, and just a small circle for a moment when it fails). All the psynergy will get worked into the game in due time.

            These all sound like weapons for stalkers to me. I mean, someone could just come up to you and use halt again and again for like, an hour. We definately need a *poke* psynergy though. It's woth the risk of poke-psychos. I'm thinking Force, any thoughts?

              That's why we then have a limit on our psynergy :o.

              The psynergy would basically be like '/trout' in chatrooms. You use douse on a person (lets say by typing '/douse') and they get the douse effect over them and a ':o' emote. It could then say something witty in the chatbox like *Platinum gets doused by Navras. Why does it always rain on me?* or something equally as lame :D.

                Sounds like catching fish in Animal Crossing. :o

                but yeah, I think we should have a limit on overworld psynergy, say, 5pp to a new guy, and you can increase another member's psynergy by adding to their "grade" or something, which you can do two times a day maximum. And you could see what other peoples' psynergy max was if you wanted under personal info or something. Anyone could recharge their psynergy completely inside the Inn at a psynergy stone or something, but that means it would give the person who was trapped a chance to escape. That way, you could have infinite psynergy, in limited amounts. And the guy with a grade of 0 would have 5 pp, 1 would have 10, 2 would have 15, and so on, or something like that.

                  I also think that Psynergy would best be restricted to certain areas. Ergo, you're not allowed to use Psynergy indoors. That could stop lagging and such for some people.

                    Or you can make a Colosso arena type thing where people can go casting stuff on other people, like what happeend in the last server test where gsninja and a few other people made clans and pretended to fight. It went out of hand, which in case mods would be required :3

                      Well, if there is that kind of psynergy, maybe there should be counter moves. I'm not sure what would be a good psynergy move for that.

                        Good idea. It would be great if Psynergy was added and to make things safe and non-annoying this Colosso-like place would be perfect! Imagine 10 or so people throwing Douse, Whirlwind and Moving each other around in a small(or large, whatever) room. That would be crazy!

                          I think moving might get annoying though O_O;. But yeah, I think Psynergy should be used only in an arena-like thing.

                                  I dunno, that kiodna surprised me. I thought Max was gonna remind us that a battle system wasn't the point of GSW again. Perhaps a lower-key Sprite-based emote battle's his plan. If so, then Probably I can help with the sprite work.

                                    I think that Max, like he's always said, wants to eventually get GSW to be as much like an online GS as possible. So, yeah, I think that in 18 months or so, we'll see the first signs(if not a completed version) of a battle system in GSW :blink:

                                      Well, I think it's very safe to say there will not be battling in the new server test that'll be up soon. Max did say that it may not have anything new(or so I think). But one day, just one day...

                                        It's not easy to implement a battle system into an interactive chatroom. You shouldn't expect it.

                                          Well, yeah. I'd say it'll be quite hard, but Max gave that little suprising nudge, which seems like an "Anything's possible, buddy! ;)" type of thing. I think we should stick to the Psynergy emotes first, before anything drastic happens.

                                            GSW is currently only an interactive chat, but the ultimate goal is to make it a true Golden Sun world, including everything from walking, chatting, battle (with djinn and psynergies), quests, everything. But all that takes time, and so we decided that we want to focus on making a fun interactive chat first, and that is what we are going to do. Over time the rest will be added in, probably in the order listed above. But don't count on seeing battle or anything else in the server test, though it might come in the beta.

                                                  Keep it up with GSW guys, you are doing a fine job and have been on some of the server tests you have done. I would be looking forward to it especially with battles and all synergy abilities used for battle including the utility ones like lift and catch etc.
