    LEGO Star Wars II

IThe end of the original LEGO Star Wars seemed to hint that there would be another game (somewhat vaguer than the end of the original Golden Sun) but man, here it is. Another game. I can't wait to pilot a LEGO version of the Millenium Falcon (sp?) and the X-Wing. Blow that piece of Death Star **** straight up LEGO Style. :P

And apparently, we can create our own custom characters by mixing up the bodies of characters unlocked. So you can mix up Luke and Darth Vader into one LEGO guy. (Darth Luke?) I can't wait to make gender confused characters LMAO. Leia's body with Han Solo's head. XDD

I got the original one for my birthday and it was pretty good, so I might look into this. But how are they gonna do the 'I am your father' bit if the characters don't speak? :P

Awesome, we should be able to control vehicles. You could control vehicles in the original LEGO Star Wars, but you were only able to do so in vehicle-specific levels, such as the Mos Espa (?) Podracing-level.

        Gamespot said:

And in addition to the on-foot fighting of the first game, players will now be able to get behind the controls of vehicles and ride creatures at will.

Hmmm... Death mixed with lego blocks? Sounds like a winning formula. I wonder if they'll just become normal blocks, when they get hurt, like the last lego star wars.

Looks like we'll be getting some Bloom effects for this game. :D If you don't know what a Bloom effect is, it's an effect that makes light-colored objects glow when light hits them. Look at Luke's shoulder and you'll see what I mean.

Check out the trailer; looks like it'll still have some of the humor that the original had. XP

They can keep on rolling out these titles, just like their film counterparts did. The games are humorous and easily the best Lego games I've ever played. (Yes, there are others.)

The character building possiblities are the ones which are most interesting to me. There's also the improved vehicle sections. It's shaping up to be great.

Hey, me too! I bought the Lego games like heck; I was a Lego fanboy that bought everything they made. They actually weren't half bad, if you gave them a chance.

I could live fine without the customizable characters, the thing I look forward to the most are the vehicles that you can hop into and hop out of, whenever you like. I thought we could do this in the original, and I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't.

You should go to Gamespot and look at the gameplay videos that have the vehicles in them.

I got the first one about 2 and a half weeks ago, and finished it in about 2 days. I just hope this one will be longer. Good series though.

It is short, but that's because it's really meant to be played with friends. But it's fun on your own, too.

A lot of fans say that the level included in the demo is very big, and very long. I hope that's true... and I hope my laptop can run it. :)

Has anyone downloaded the demo yet? If you have, would you tell me what it's like?

Oh, and this should be moved to general other games because it covers almost all platforms including PC.

                                    Revive dammit!
I bought the game yesterday and it seems to live up to the hype. The missions are longer and more fun to play, plus it's the good triliogy man! Also the vehicle sections are so much better. It really makes it more fun.
One of the few bad points is the length. I only bought it yesterday but I've done episodes IV and V, and I could have done more, had I played it more. I guess there's unlockables to collect, but the main story should have more. It's also very similar to the original game, but that's to be expected and isn't a bad thing.

If you get lotsa "Golden Bricks" you get to unlock a secret mission called "LEGO City".

Like I said before this isn't only a PC game. Move it to to the generic gaming board you noobs mods.

Didn't know that. Still I'm reluctant to collect all of the collectables. It requires patience, which I don't have.
I like the idea of using characters from the original Lego Star Wars. It feels weird using Darth Maul in IV's first mission.

I've looked up just about every aspect of the game. It's the next best thing to actually owning it since my actual computer is broken and this laptop is incapable of rendering anything that is 3 dimensional.

Have you heard of stud multipliers? They're expensive, but they pretty much pay for themselves once you get them.

I'd really like to get this game. I'll order it when I have the money. I got the original and it was good for a lego game. I dont care if its for kids, looks pretty good, cant wait to be Darth greebacca.

Well I've completed all of the game's 18 chapters. Overall it's pretty good. If I had to pick a film that was best to play it would probably be VI (even with the boring Endor Levels).
The Dagobah level on V and the levels on Endor on VI are pretty dull to be honest. You buy Star Wars to be on spaceships, not go around some swamp or forest.
Probably the best levels are the ones in the Death Star (both Death Stars) are good and the levels set around the opening of VI. It's all good and I'd recommend it to anyone.
