Well, an old friend of mine has been gracious enough to allow us use of his server, and so now we can have our server test! The server test will run from 7:30pm on Thursday, February 16 through 7:30am on Monday, February 21. Nothing has changed since the last version, but I know a good number of you haven't yet had a chance to play it. Everyone wil have to reregister as we wiped the database after last time. After the server test, development on GSW will begin again in earnest, and I will be sure to keep you all informed of my progress. So tell all your friends, we have a server test coming up!

I'll be away on Saturday and Sunday too, but I'll have time (presumably) on Thursday night and a bit on Friday. I should be free most of Monday, though.

Yes Blink, I think I am going to have some moderators. I will be contacting people sometime tomorrow about being moderators. We are going to reach outside the forum moderators so that we can have a higher percentage of time when a mod will be logged in.

Moderators have always had the ability to kick people, which is the only real moderation that can take place. We haven't really implemented a chat filter, so unfortunately that kind of inappropriate behavior can still take place.

Kick like how? Normal mod stuff, of "kick until unkicked"? Or more of a kick and have to relogin thing? Maybe a set time limit, or kicked til the end of the day?

And people, please don't complain about different people being on GSW that aren't trained to GSSF behavior this time ><. If you can't stand the more... loose rules of live chats than stick to the forums :P. Having more moderation this time might help though. Just being kicked off doesn't seem like much, but it's surprising how well it works on most people :D.

Um...first off, I've been here since...last year or maybe at 2003...not sure. I've played the past 2 server tests for GSW. I think I saw you on GSW once...maybe Im crazy. I don't think PHantom was here for the past few server tests. Anyways, choose well for the moderators. It's gonna be a bit more of a hassle moderating in an online chat.
