Well, a few of you might have seen the "Server Test Released" post a few minutes ago, but a critical flaw was found and I've had to take it down again. There is a problem with my encryption program, so I chose to just not use it, but that created a whole slew of other problems. I'm not sure how long it will take to fix my program, so I have decided to just call off this weekend's test. I am extremely busy the rest of this weekend, so maybe it was for the better. But I'll reevaluate all of this on Tuesday or Wednesday and will post a going-forward plan. Until then, just sit tight, and I'm sorry for the false alert.

Darn. Ah well, the wait will be worth it...believe me when I say that it would make the chatting a pain in the arse. Imagine having to close the program and log in again if you accidentally tried to enter a building at an angle.

...yeah, just, forget about it. Max definately needs the time to work on this. It's too bad, but, it's better to be patient than to have people complaining about how unpleasant an experience it is.

Too bad it won't be this weekend, but the fact is that there needs to be more time. Don't worry about it, Max, take as long as you need for GSW :)

Well that's unfortunate. Then again I'd prefer to get something that isn't faulty.
Hope that your problems are fixed soon!

Well, the important thing is that we're still alive and healthy, isn't it? :)

We all understand it's not easy to make a thing like GSW, so just take your time Max.

With the new moderators around GSW I think it's gonna be a bit smoother and less hectic as last time. Crazy n00b people won't have anything to say about anything either, I predict.

A website is much more simple to make than making a game. Scripting isn't the only thing there is to making a game. If you're making an RPG (which is the case generally) you've also gotta think of a story and stuff to go a long with it.

Ah, a website is hard enough to make, a game must be so much harder. I was looking forward to it, but I can wait for a while.

Well, I had to learn HTML first and I practically had to read script and look at the site to sort it out, which means I was pretty much doing 10 times more work than I had to.

HTML is pretty easy to learn, once you grasp the concept. The only problem is that most websites don't actually have a purpose.

meh, html is the best place to start.
then you discover that html is so bloody limited so you discover another 3 scripting languages: php, css, and javascript
and then it keeps expanding for there and somewhere along the line you got a copy of flash and found out that is far easier than anything else xP.

                                    I love Flash...

Making websites is magnitudes easier than creating even the most simple games. But let's get back on topic people.

As Liquidfire alluded to, AveneR is quite busy with his new job and university, and hasn't been able to help out. Robotics has taken up an enormous amount of my time the past two months, and will continue to for the next few weeks. However, I plan to get started on development again in the very near future.
