have any of you played runescape? if not you should cheack it out very addicting rpg game with a large online community. my user name is doom eclipse on it so maybe if you play you can add me and we can chill :) and forthose of you who have played world of warcraft its alot like that

We've had numerous topics on Runescape and none of them ever really get off the ground.

IMO, this game is pretty sad. There are better MMORPG's out there today and this one doesn't really do 2006 justice.

Um, newsflash, it has better graphics then maplestory...-.-
And just cause the graphics are made of blocks, go check the graphics. the buildings have good graphics, and as i said, its much better then maplestory, i mean, maplestory has 4 towns and orbis, but runescape is a huge game with lots of towns and such, and that disproves that maplestory is better then RS, so overall runescape is much better then lots of computer games of its time, and half of you probably only tried the 1st version(which completely and utterly sucked crap.), but the 2nd one is good, stop dissing it, idiots

Dude I was an avid player of number one for seriously about 2 1/2 years, the second came out, gave it a shot. SUCKED BALL. Waste of time and money.

When you go out into the wilderness, you always get killed, but there comes a point where you have to go out because the other battles are too easy. It wasn't really well thought out.

They kind of are real people...unless the people are using macros. in which case they aren't. But macros are banned so they ARE real people

also more town probably means more spread out people so less lag which means more FUN :)

But still. It's the internet. People tend to be more aggressive on the interent and say stuff that they wouldn't say to that person to their face. That can be a good thign or a bad thing. It's either that their true colorus really show, or that they become a total jerk or idiot. In most cases, the latter is more noticeable. N00b community, n00b game.

1) As MD nicely pointed out, yes i wasn't comparing
2) You CAN'T compare Maplestory graphics with Runescape's. Runescape is 3D whereas Maplestory has 2D graphics. However, the visual appeal of Maple story, in my opinion, is better than Runescape. Gameplay is however slightly better in runescape (not just hack slashlevelhackslashlevel like in maple)

Maple Story is a dreadful game. If you guys weren't so scared of monthly fees you'd quickly lern that there are real MMOs out there that are thousands of times better.

WoW is probably my favorite MMORPG that I personally have played. The free ones like Maple Story and Runescape (definitely that) don't stack up.
