I'm looking for an FPS for the Gamecube. I'm looking for something that isn't necessarily a stealth game. Perhaps something Killzone-ish.

I know off the bat, most of you will say Resident Evil 4 but I can't get that game because of the M rating. I may be able to get other M rated games.

And don't even say Metroid Prime. I clearly already thought of that. I own the first game as well. ^_^

So, does anyone have any suggestions?

Off the top of my head I'd suggest some sort of James Bond game. But I don't know how many you've got. I know you have Nightfire.

I'm actually not looking for a James Bond game.

I've heard good things about a game called Red Faction II. Anyone know about it?

I think there's a couple of Medal of Honor games for the GCN, though they aren't very good. I may be wrong on this, though.

I don't know Red Faction II, but you should try Geist.
It has a great singleplayer and the multiplayer is really fun ^_^
EDIT: but now that i think of it, geist isn't really a FPS. More an adventure, but there is shooting

Might I recommend TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, or TimeSplitters 2?

Future Perfect sounds good, 2 was a little too oldschool of a FPS for my liking. Nightfire is a blast if Multiplayer is your game, but otherwise, I dunno what to recomend.

I played Red Faction II on the PC and quite liked it, but the Timesplitters games are the best FPS's on the GC(apart from the Metroid games). You COULD try Geist though, even though it's not a traditional FPS.
Maybe it's just better to get an FPS for your computer, as there aren't a lot of good shooters for the GC.

Decent FPS for the Gamecube? Hah, let me know when you find one. The only real FPS (if you can even call it that) I liked was Metroid Prime on the GC, other than that your only hope is to go for one of those multi-platform cheap FPS games which are usually ruined on the GC due to the non-FPS friendly controller. Get a PS2 or XB.

I have to agree. There aren't many good Fps games on Gamecube, except Metroid Prime. Timesplitters is a good idea though.

If you have the specs, just get FPS games for the PC.

                                  PC shooters > Console shooters

And for the record, the Metroid Prime games don't count as First-Person Shooters.

Oh for the love of God don't do that, Lockdown is an embarassment to the Rainbow Six series. My whole clan bought that game thinking it was going to kick ass and we felt the developers had completely rushed the game, I mean there was even a glitch to get from LV1 to LV70 in like 5 minutes. If anything I say go for either TimeSplitters or an older RainbowSix title, not Lockdown.

Too cartoony? Haha, you're doomed. Good luck finding a non-cartoony FPS on the GC.

Nintendo always said the Metroid Prime games are not typical shooters. And they are a bit different from other shooters, but not as much as The Big N says. If it's in first person view and if it's got shooting than it's a First Person Shooter! Yes, it's got all the scanning and adventuring and side-scrolling with the Morph Ball, but the main part of the game is still a shooter if you ask me.

Not a very great shooter though, due to it's lock-on system. I suppose that's why they prefer not to call it a shooter, as it does the other things alot better than it would do the FPS parts.

Yeah, that's the word I was looking for.

I found the game I was looking for. It's not perfect, but it's workable. Call of Duty 2: The Big Red One is a decent single-player experience and I figure it will only be a while before I have a chance at a multiplayer shooter on another console.

Well, better CoD 2 than some other FPS's for the GC. I think you made a good choice.
