I know a lot of you say it sucks, but have any of you even tried it out? Or at least heard reviews? I'm sure some have, but here's a link I posted somewhere else in this section. It has real in person video reviews. Some are of people who have played the demo, some are for other games.

Anyway, just post links to reviews on the game, and add any personal feedback. And besides FD28 (i think he has), who else here got to go to E3?

I got to E3 by watching G4...or so I was told. Anyways, this game looks great, how can people say it looks bland? The graphics are brighter, Mario is back, and the Wii-mote looks like it will be in full use. Great-looking launch title.

Yay Mario is back!! Oh, it's not what Nintendo has been promising us for the past 10 years...

I was thrilled to see this game. When every E3 comes I pray to God for Ninty to show THE Mario 128, the successor to Super Mario 64, one of the most revolutionary games ever! They kept promising it'll be something special, spectacular... And they failed.

Yes, the game's graphics look gorgeous if you ask me(though I really don't give a damn about the graphics). And yes, the game looks very fun, what with all the super high jumping and stuff. But I expected this to be something new, something no one could come up with even with the Wiimote.

Oh, and one more thing. This ISN'T gonna be a launch title. Nintendo said so. Metroid Prime: Corruption, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Excite Truck, Project H.A.M.M.E.R. and some others will be... But SMG won't.

All in all, bit of a dissapointment.

The game is a disappointment? Or the launch date?

I don't think we can say the game is a disappointment until we see the game on store shelves.

Exactly. Play it for yourself before calling it good or bad. Or rent it and have a good moan, whilst knowing that you could have been stuck with it for a long time.

Dudes, I'm absolutaly sure this game will rock! Every Mario platforming game rocks! And Nintendo knows this game has to be good. But it's still a bit of a dissapointment that it's not as new as Ninty said it would be. They kept giving us cr!p about how this game will change the whole industry for the past 8 to 10 years and now they show us an excelent game, but not as innovative as they said. But still, it may be just too early in development for the relolutionazing parts to be seen...

Well, this is as revolutionary as it gets Aqua. Any game that uses the Wii-mote is revolutionary. Maybe this game won't use it as much as Warioware, but I still think it will be just as "revolutionary" as all the other Wii titles.

I'm glad to see some people think it's okay so far. And like ME111 said, try it, then decide whether or not it's good. I'm not sure whether it will be a good game, or a bad one, but so far, Nintendo hasn't let us down. ALL of the Mario RPG's so far have been great.

Actually, Mario 128 was a concept demo shown when the GCN was first announced to show off the graphical capabilities. The TRUE successor to Super mario 64 was Mario Sunshine, 128 was just some random game that everyone seemed to think looked really cool and imaginative.

Get your facts straight, and stop being one of those annoying people that year after year keep crying over a system demo that Myamoto himself has said is not currently being worked on in any form.

Also, apparently SMG was /the/ game of the show for many people who attended and know what they're talking about. I thoght it looked pretty **** at first, and had a crap name, but then I learnt that everyone loves it and that the name is only temporary.
Also, the graphics are pretty damn nice.

Well if it's in outer space, then galaxy seems fitting to me. Not the best, but not the worst either. And Aqua just wanted to play SM:128. You don't need to beat down on him. Geez.

lol, i know, i was a bit harsh xD.

I just find it frustrating that everyone has such huge expectations for a Mario 128 when it's quite obvious nothing is being done with it =\.

Thanks Toasty, but never mind, I'm gonna prove Mr. Neon wrong.
Shigeru Miyamoto HAS been making(or at least planning on making) Mario 128 for the past 5(possibly more) years, as shown on Wikipedia:

                            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_1...st_real_details

In the end, Mario 128 DID turn out to be SMG and I knew that the moment I saw SMG. Please read the whole text to see that I'm right.

hehe, i thought that might be the case. Last e3 (??? i havn't read tha article you linked yet, lol) he said that he was sorry for missleading everyone, there was no 128 been made in the form that they showed, and that he was still working on different ideas.

SMG appears to be a pretty interesting, more unique concept, so I assume this game came from the Mario 128 brainstorming :P.

More likely a refined version of SM128.

Seriously, when I told you to get your facts straight I was reffering to you calling SM128 the true sequel to SM64. 128 was nothing like 64, it was obviously a concept demo. Sunshine, which is much more like SM64, is a more obvious sequel.

There is no need for me to get on my knees and pleed for forgiveness or prove you wrong. I already assumed you were correct when I made my last post.

Ok, I'll admit that my last post was made to flame you Neon and I'm sorry about that. Let's forget about this and have a nice chat in this here topic, ok? :P

The Wiimote will be used to make some crazy jumps and acrobatic moves. Mario has always been famous for that and this game will make his jumping abilities even greater! What with him being in space and everything...

It looks like this game will use quick flicks of the Wii-mote rather than slashes and jabs a la Red Steel. It looks like the free motion will be, well, free movements, rather than sharp movements, if you know what I mean. It looks like it will give you the feeling of being in space.

By the way, for the record, I love the name Super Mario Galaxy, I think it's a great name for this game.

If you have a decent computer, gamespot.com has all the press conferences and trailers. The quality is crap but you get the point of the videos.

Yeah, but don't you have to become a member? And the last time I checked, that costs $3-$5 a month. Sure, it's a small amount, but I'm not willing to pay anything to be informed on a game.

Mostly just getting better quality on your downloadable videos. You can watch any videos for free, and its one of the only sites that actually has the press conferences in full.

K thanks. I'll go check it out.

[EDIT] I went to play the movie, but it wouldn't play. I kept clicking the play button, but it just didn't do anything. I guess I'll have to try later.
