lol You guys weren't expecting this now were you? With all of your nintendo games.

Anyways, Halo 3, need I say more? What new improvements will we see in it? Will this be the last game in this epic series. I hope not. If so then I hope they widen the game and maybe make a sqaud base game in the Halo universe. What are your suggestions.

By the ending in Halo2, I think this might be the last one. I'm also guessing you'll be teamed up with the elites in this one. Hopfully you can get a map pack.

I enjoy Halo, though do not own it or anything (I've beaten both games straight in a row - all nighter coop with firend) and am sorta looking forward to this, but it doesn't play a big role in my life.

Halo 3 will sell, very well too I assure, but in terms of gamplay I doubt it will offer anything spectacular...

Who knows? Mabey there'll be new weapons. Like an alien version of a shotgun. <_<

I can't believe that "Dead or Alive Xtreme 2" was marked the overall most popular on Gamespot, above Halo 3... hell, Halo 3 didn't even make the list.

Anyway, no duh, of course this game will sell well.

This IS going to be the last game. Hopefully we won't see the downfall of earth, and I believe that master chief does meet up with his long lost pals (for those of you that read the books, you know what im talking about <_< ). Im hoping to see some new weapons, and praying that they will add in some sort of unarmed fighting in the game, since master cheif knows how to kill things with his bare hands.

Like you hit the Melee button, and he punches or something? That'd be a nice addition, although I doubt it'd ever really be used or added in period. Still, there's no harm in it at all.

Keep in mind that all it was was an announcement. I mean, they didn't even have a Halo 3 related booth there. That's probably what lead to their decision.

Yes, there are some non-Wii games that I am excited about. Spore, Gears of War, and this one. Bungie expectedly gave us a trailer. The unexpected thing is that this will be the last in the series with the ending to the trailer being "Finish the Fight". Online play on the 360 with this game will be mind-blowing, unbelievable, [insert positive adjective here]. Personally, I can't wait for more info.

I really, REALLY don't think this is going to be the last game in the series. Look at it like this, Halo is one of the most popular franchises in the world and it sells extremely wll, so not only would fans be angry if this was the last game, but also Bungie would be stupid not to make another one since they make so much money off it. It's just logical they'll continue the series!

They could always make a new series that is similar. I think putting an end to the Halo series after 3 games will make it that more epic when it is referred to in gaming history.

SoT said what I wanted to say.

Making more games after this one would put shame to the Halo name, unless the storyline was actually continued somehow. The best they could do would be to involve another Spartan in a different storyline before or after the Covenant war.

I think what you said WD will probably be the most likely scenario. I mean, the name itself would sell quite a few copies! And did Bungie actually state this would be the last game or what?

They could continue the story by starting it a few years after Halo3. There could be a new alien race trying to do something bad again. But I'm not sure how well that would go over.

To clear matters up, yes Bungie did say that this will be the third and final Halo game. Halo3 will conclude the cliffhanger left from the second game and that will be that, no Halo4 or anything. This does not mean they won't make more games of course.

Q: Is this the last ever Halo game?

Anyway, it's good to find a Halo topic in the mass ocean of pointless Nintendo topics here. The only Nintendo Wii titles that have caught my attention as I browsed the ocean of crap from E3 were Red Steel, and the Star Wars game that nobody knows about because it hasn't been announced yet. But you all know that there will be a Star Wars game on the Wii where you finally get to wave your lightsaber around like a true Jedi. It's just so obvious it will happen.

lol You guys weren't expecting this now were you? With all of your nintendo games.

Anyways, Halo 3, need I say more? What new improvements will we see in it? Will this be the last game in this epic series. I hope not. If so then I hope they widen the game and maybe make a sqaud base game in the Halo universe. What are your suggestions.

I can't stand how people march in here and go "lol u al luv nintendo," even if it is Nemphtis or ED.

Shut up, very rarely do we have nintendo fan boys running around here.

Anyways, if Halo 3 is to be the last in the series, will it be longer than Halo 2? Because Halo 2 really only had five hours of single player play.

I wouldn't be surprised. After all, it's the last halo in the series.

I agree, not all of you morons are Nintendo fanboys, although some of you are but just won't admit it. But the fact still remains, Nintendo fanboy or not, you know you're a fanboy when you refuse to talk about any games other than Nintendo games. We rarely have 'popular' threads on non-Nintendo games. But if it was Metroid or Zelda you hoe's would be all over the topic saying "OMG Wind Wanker! Fwap Fwap Fwap! I Came!".

So don't tell me you're not a Nintendo fanboy, SHOW ME by being less single-minded. I mean look at the Next-Gen poll we had, pretty much 90% voted for Nintendo and even Sony let alone Microsoft barely got any decent votes. This a fanboy forum, wether you like to admit it or not. But that's the reason I come here anyway, because you're all fanboys. What better place to get info on Gamecube products than a forum full of Nintendo fanboys?

Because I can't seem to find anything. As for the Nintendo fanboy part, it's only because of their handheld market domination on my part.
I've always liked the XBOX better then the Gamecube. Though I do think the Wii pwns the 360.

Well, I completly missed E3, so I'm leaving my computer on tonight to download the trailer, lol.... I'm really kind of excited to see the old AR back in action. It makes me feel all warm inside. Hopefully the ol' M6D Pistol will be back in action.... Man, I loved that gun! It was my best weapon, and not because I n00bed with it, but because I'm a really good shot with it! lol I'm pumped!

As for the story, all we know so far is what Bungie's told us; something's been found in the outskirts of New Mombasa that the Covenant REALLY wants.... People who read the books might remember. I read the books but I can't remember much because it was so long ago. Maybe those of you who read them can fill us in with some speculation. I do remember the Covenant finding a relic of some sort during one of the books....

I've still got like five volumes of D.N.Angel to read and let's not even start on Battle Vixens. The first book was really good though, showing how the Master Chief came to become what he is now. The second book is basically about the events of Halo, and the third is the events that happened right after the explosion of Halo and before Halo2.
