Most of you probably already know about this, but if not check it out here:
    http://www.planetgam....cfm?artid=1243

So, what do you think? I think it's gonna be great, just like every other Mario Bros.
Collecting items and using them whenever you want is great. And there is a Vanish Cap Box on one of the screenshots! It's good to finaly see the three hats from Mario 64 back.
Also, does anyone know whether this will be playable over WiFi? It probably will. Just imagine you playing as Mario and another guy who you're playing with over WiFi being Luigi. How drool.

It definitely looks great and it also looks like Nintendo is making a concerted effort to get more great games for the DS out now. It's about time, I can't wait.

Nintendo confirmed that there will NOT be Wifi for New Super Mario Brothers. I think they said it was because they worried about there only being two players, and not being worth the effort since it was so much easier to find one person with a DS than 3.

Well it said on there it couldn't go online, but I think It'll be two player compatible, just like the other SMB remakes. Those were pretty good.

Shame... That would really be awesome...

I think Ninty already said it would be two player compatible. I mean, if they don't put that, then the're just plain stupid!

...it IS two players, and only two players, like I said, that's why there's no NWFC, but there's WLAN.

                  Amen brother!
Since I missed out on the originals (by not being alive at the time), I really like the look of it. I read a preview earlier that said it was looking pretty good.

At last, Nintendo's dishing the good stuff out after so many years. A 2D Mario platformer with old, classic gameplay sporting a new, modern style. I love how they used recycled 3D character models and put them into a 2D world, it works surprisingly well and gives the game a sense of style I haven't seen in any other game.

I'm on the last world. I've already gained access to one of the secret worlds (though I haven't beaten it), so after I beat the last world I still have two worlds to explore. =]

(Easter Egg: If you want to play as Luigi, hold L and R and select a game file with A and bang! It's-a me, Luigi!)

I always wanted to play a Super Mario game, but I only ever had the chance on those department store Gameboys. I hear they're good. If I get a DS this will be one of the first titles I'll want.

This moderating is getting a little annoying; when a topics dead, leave it alone with a new one! Oh well.

What I find strange is that ONLY once you've completed the game you're given the option to save anywhere you want. Otherwise, you can only save after unlocking new houses and beating bosses. But in the original it wasn't like that. It's really annoying.

The saving is pretty annoying. I thought it saved automatically everytime you beat a level. Boy was I annoyed when I realised that wasn't the case!
Still it's great fun. When you get a mushroom that lets you fill the screen it's hilarious.
I haven't got too far though, only onworld 5, but I'm enjoying it. The minigames are pretty good as well.

I've beaten it and gone through worlds 4 and 7, though it took me awhile to work out what to do, but I haven't managed ever coin and level. I'm not much of a perfectionist.

When you say stars do you mean the ones by your file when you load up? Do you get more if you collect all the star coins, get all the levels etc? If you did then I didn't know that.

I got my version about 3 weeks ago. I was on world 8 by the end of the 3rd day. Still havent completed it. XD Its not cuz i cant do the final level, its because Animal crossing has become so... damn addicting at the end of summer.

Anywho, who has played 2 player? It is amazingly fun!! I love the ice level, me and my brother have blue shell races! Its so fun!

Finally a Mario game which isn't just released to keep the Nintendo fanboys from starting riots. I think this game is great and there's a lot of replay value. I love playing it at college or work and the minigames are great fun and very varied. This is in my opinion a must-buy for any DS owner.
