Aaaah the mobile phone.. Or as you Americans call them, Cell phones. Or if you're stupid. A 'Handy'.
So. DO YOOOOOOU HAVE ONE?!
Are you a mad texter? Or do you rack up the phone bill with hours spent talking to your friends?

I don't really need one, to be honest. I just waste my life away on MSN lol <_< ! But sometimes I feel like I want one, cos basically all my mates have them.

I have some dodgy one that I plan on upgrading eventually :o. I don't really use it that often, but I always have it with me in case I need it.
It also serves as an alarm that never manages to actually wake me up despite being so goddamn loud <_<

I had one, it broke and I didn't replace it. Of course that seems weird to everyone at school. They practically collapse if I say I don't have a phone.

I have a cell phone, more for the sake of having one than anything. I don't use it, save for the occasional phone call or to inform my family if I have something to do afterschool.

Interests:Drums, Guitar Hero, pretending to play guitar, getting awesome at the one song I know how to play on bass, school(yeah, I'm such a loser) music, mohney, etc. I suppose I'll give you an abbreviated list of bands that I like: Relient K Switchfoot Guster Angels and Airwaves Arcade Fire Porcupine Tree Weezer Mae It's sorta a weird mix of mainstream and not so mainstream. I like a lot of single songs too... Bands I need to look at: Plastic Constellations Cauterize Patent Pending And a bunch of local bands that you'll probably never hear of. Pandora rocks. I'm running out of things to say here. Perhaps I like duct tape? Yeah. This likely won't be touched for another year when my tastes have completely changed.

I wish I had a phone. Except I have no possible use for one. Except maybe for late night annoyance sessions with my friends when I can't get back to sleep at 2 in the morning.

I have one but honestly I don't use it for anything beside texting, I usually always wait for someone to call me rather than calling. And I only text when I can't access Messenger

I have one, but I don't use it that much. I only use it if I'm at my dad's and text my mum asking if she's picking me up or if she wants me to get the bus, or if me and my friends are going out I just text them to find out the time.

My friends think I'm weird, tho... because when I text I still have to use full grammar, spelling and punctuation... they think that's weird. xD

I find mobile phones to be a bit useless for people around my age. If you want someone to pick you up after {random event} you could always just arrange a time beforehand. Maybe adults might need them for more pressing issues, but I'm not prepared to waste my or my parent's money for something I would only ever play games on.

@ Topic Creator: ~~Die~~ The poll makes it seem as if you never use mobile phones, like you're afraid of them or something, or you own one and use it regularly. Needs an in-between option.

I have a goooood phone. Got it recently, infact. And I text quite a bit.. I use my phone for pictures alot, aswell.

I have an LG F190. Unfortunately it was handled while drunk, got wet from being in a pool, and is ****ed up. I text regularily, but I'm on a contract with 3000 minutes a month, free after 6PM and on weekends. :x I use most if not all of them.

I've got a NEC e540. I use it quite a lot, for messaging, speaking to my friends(most of them rarely call me on my home number, for some reason), but very rarely for unimportant stuff like taking pictures and listening to music. Actually, my parents bought it for me because I needed one since I often stay out 'till late at night, and they always want to phone me to see if everything is ok. But I mostly use it just to check the time.

Just a question that's worth bumping this topic for. Will the iPhone change the perception of mobile phones? Or are companies like Motorola and LG destined to continue going strong with their phones?

I'm one of those guys who isn't a raving Ipod-serie people. I actually like the Zune and own one. (Yes, imported from America to Europe.)

I think that the first iPhone will be quite a succes, but the other mobile companies will just follow. The second iPhone will be more or less on the same level as the new samsung or whatever.

I have one, and use it for calling my mates when I'm not in the house, but I very rarely text with it, and its not a new model or anything; its not even colour. It does what I want it to do, which is store phone numbers and allow people to call me when I'm not at home. If I was gonna take a picture I'd bring my camera with me.

I've got the Samsung S401i. I text with it and call (girl)friends with it for serious to flirtatious reasons.

It's got pretty much everything the new phones have, but then less of it.

I have one. I'm on vodafone and that familything so I can text/call my family for free anywhere, which is very useful when I need picking up from (girl)friends house and train stations ect
