Wouldn't it be cool if Camelot combined their two greatest games and made a Golden Sun golf game? You could use Psynergy to makeyour ball go farther and throw your opponents off, and stuff, and the blacksmith could forge new clubs and it would be really cool! Definatly. mario was a simple enjough rpg, that you could have made spin offs with out ruining the outlook of the game. With Goldensun that would be just not work at all. It would go against the entire out look of the game.

Well I for one disagree, that's stupid. I hate that idea no offense. It just does not work. Golden Sun is about magic, and killing monsters, not being beaten by some random golf player!

If done right, it could bring whole new twists to the meaning of a golf game. Conceptually, yes, the idea is simply moronic. But so is a game about a guy who jumps on things. Oh, yeah, that sounds fun. Wait, what? Platformers? Oh, dude, I love Platformers!...but what has that got to do with the guy who jumps on-- ooooh.
A GS Golf game could be highly entertaining. Take the world map, turn it into one giant set of Golf courses, and use the four Lighthouses as flags/holes. Deserts would be sand pits, the oceans would be water hazards, heck, it's practically a 1:1 conversion right there.
...aaactually, this would work as an awesome mod to a golf game for the PC. A map that was based on Golden Sun? If someone took the time to model in the 8 playable characters too...

XD Oh, and using reveal! Of course, you have to use a TIMED reveal with a special ball that can fall into that "revealed" whole.
Now that you mention it, it has potential. Camelot would get a lot of laughs from watching their fan base playing with that.
