Well, today is the second day of spring here in Australia and it's really showing.
The heat is just bearable. But this is just the beginning. The days will keep getting hotter untill near every day is above 35 degrees celcius, that's a bit under 100 farenheight. So why does this all matter? Because it's hot! What does everybody do to pass the scarcely livable days? Stay at home? Go to the pool? Or, my personal favourite, go for a surf?
This doesn't really apply to the americans, but feel free to comment on what you did when summer was on it's way.

Spring was a long time ago, it's starting to get colder up here. (Northern Hemisphere I mean.) We don't get a lot of hot days as New York is pretty far north. 90-ish counts as really hot here, so cooling off isn't that much of an issue. The consensus here is:
      STAY INSIDE

Here in the Caribbean never snows, so I've never seen snow in my life. It's always hot here, but not as the extremes Califonia are having.

What I did for my summer? Just hang out with friends and play games, I only noticed the heat on the computer ^^

Heat doesn't bug me. Not liek Iw as trying to run away from it or anything. All I wanted to do this summer was sleep. And so I did. I was indoors mostly, but I did do quite a good deal of swiming.

              Bring back some fruit!

Up here in Moses Lake Washington, we have the weirdest weather. Just a week ago, it was 97 degrees in the afternoon, 75 in the morning. Now, a week later, it's 78 in the afternoon, 47 in the morning. Not only that, but it already seems like I've been in school for two weeks, and it's only been three days. Weird.

[EDIT] I've spent the most of my life here in washington, but I pretty much grew up in Florida, so I'm accustomed to warm weather and 80 degrees is perfect for me. But when it hits 90+, I can't stand it. I also hate weather that's below 76 degrees.

Considering the risk of an outbreak of fruitfly, I'd rather not.

We timed our Holidays just right. For the 2 first weeks of summer, we were in France, where it wasnt too hot, while missing the swelteringness of England.

When we got back, we got nice weather. Some rain, but we just stay inside. Weather in England isnt nearly as bad as its put out to be.

Autumn is just starting here, in Europe, so it's getting colder. But better freezing cold than frying hot, as I HATE hot weather.
But this Summer wasn't so hot. Now that the world climate is changing I can't know what to expect. I think only a little bit of snow will fall a few time in Winter, whilst ten(five) years ago there was, of course, a lot of snow. During the Summer break I met with my friends almost every day to drink alcohol, play table tennis and just hang out. But I did and always do like to have a day without seeing anybody. That's when I just played games most of the day and spent time with my brother.

Awww man im jealous of you! :( Here in the Netherlands it barely 18 degrees celcius. But anyways the best way to cool of is going to the beach. At the beach there always is a chill breeze there and ofcoarse you can always go for a swim. Anyways I would either go to the beach or go windsurfing.

Our timing was bad. The first two weeks were unbearably hot. We went on holiday just before everything got cool again. It's been raining a fair bit since we've got back and there's been storms, despite the fact that it's not too hot outside.

But anyway, we only had a few minor heat waves( around 100) for a bout a week, and the rest of the summer's been fine. Though I'm pretty sure the only power outages we've had have been at the beginning and end of summer...Weird.

As for what I did, I mowed a lot of lawn. And everything else was nondescript.

Still seems so weird to me. 'Hey look its Fallllllllllllll....' (He fell that's why it's a joke dammit!) Autmn is just so more natural for me.
Anyways... I like autumnal weather as well. The weather is cooler and Christmas is coming closer. There are only two bad things I associate with Autumn: School and Halloween (Here's your f***ing trick or treat!)

It's a bit of simple name though isn't it? If they name that season 'Fall' because of the leaves falling, why not name Winter 'Snow' or Summer 'Hot' instead? In my opinion, Autumn is just the better name. Still, my arguements won't change much.

Would make even more sense if August was in Autumn.

The only reason I hate Fall/Autumn/whatever, is because I ONLY like cold weather if it's snowing. Here in Moses Lake, it doesn't start snowing until late November/early December, andl;ast year, it didn't snow much. The year before though, it started in late SEPTEMBER, and, there was so much snow, we used up all our snow days and had to stay three extra days in school at the end of the year. I love Christmas though, it's my favorite holiday. 'Specially if there's lotsa' snow. =D

Argh, I hate Halloween. Why the hell do people in England have to go trick-or-treating? It's an American holiday, for God's sake. Are they American? NO! They're English. They should start acting like it. >.<
