Reminds me of that Xbox game on alien versus predator, but better and larger scaled. Looks good, apart from the fact its on 360. Well if I ever get one, this'll be the game to get.

Knowing microsoft, this game just won't bring enough money from the 360. And so it's onto PC for every little kid to download through limewire!

Yay! Thats good, as I have limewire =P

I doubt it will be stolen by Sony though, as Halo wont make much sense on PS3 or 2. Nintendo wont use it, thats for sure.

I saw the trailer for this, and I thought it looked really amazing. Apparently, its aimed at Germany. Although some Microsoft higher-up did a very nice job of contradicting himself...

            Microsoft said:

It's for the Germans. We think this genre of game is perfectly suited to Germany, northern and eastern Europe. It illustrates our desire to release games that are appropriate for gamers in all markets.

Made by the makers of Age of Mythology and Age of Empires, eh?

I really gotta see some of these trailers. Looks fantastic from what I've seen so far.

It just shows FMV which looks fantastic, but lets see the gameplay which I'm really looking foward to.

But it's ES, they never dissapoint me.

Actually Eugine (though I've lost the quote now) they confirmed that some of the models in the video were from ingame. My guess is that things like the ships and warthogs, scorpions and banshees, were all the ingame models, while the character models were WAY overly detailed.

Halo Wars is 360 exclusive. Can't remember where I read that. I'll post the link, or a quote, when I find it again.

Looking forward to this game, not because it's based on Halo but because it's made by the same developers who created the well-known Age of Empires franchise. Although to be perfectly honest I can imagine the Halo game running better on the Command & Conquer engine but as long as it turns out to be a good game I'm not that picky.

So you still wander around here, huh? I thought you left.

Well about this game, I liked the Age of Empire series, and this is quite similar. The only turn off for me would be a high price.

Damn. This is the only game I'll get a 360 for.
I really hope this comes to PC.

The gameplay is so awesome. Looks similar to Starcraft 2 though. So awesome.

You have no idea how many people were confused on the GameFAQ forums. "Will we be playing as Master Chief? Any new weapons to use?"

It's worth noting Halo was originally going to be an RTS on the computer, years ago. You'll have to research yourself for more info, I'm too tired to find it again.

Depends on your ability to manage more then one thing at once. I always thought it was the other way around. Or it could just be that people that only play FPS only know how to shoot things, not stratigize.

"This" means that you agree with whatever you're quoting.

The Halo FPS required strategy, to an extent. Maybe not the second game (it was easier), but the first one definitely. You can't just run in guns blazing, you had to think about where your enemies are, where you are, if you can kill a couple of the quietly, what weapon to use, if you should just run through... it's hard to explain, but it was definitely there.

This game is looking like a pretty run-of-the-mill RTS. Realistically speaking, I think Tom Clancy's upcoming EndWar will completely piss on Halo Wars like R Kelly. Oh and **** Halo Wars if you can't play as the covenant, they'll probably not include the Flood for sure and then make a sequel where the only major new feature is being able to select the Flood.
