I assume it means the image didn't load/stalled whlie loading and you got the ALT text.

Try clicking 'Show Image' and see if that does anything.

As Nick said, you are simply seeing the ALT text shown in place of the image, most likely because the image did not download properly. Refreshing in Firefox should usually fix this kind of browser issue (happens on many sites, and isn't a GSSF problem).
