Digital photography has also been adopted by many amateur snapshot photographers, who take advantage of the convenience of the form when sending images by email, placing them on the World Wide Web, or displaying them in digital picture frames.

Estimates of the resolution of a photograph taken with a 35 mm film camera vary. However, there exist many estimates around 12 megapixels.
Films and prints processed and stored in ideal conditions have demonstrated an ability to remain substantially unchanged for more than 100 years.

During the twentieth century, both fine art photography and documentary photography became accepted by the English-speaking art world and the gallery system.

Photojournalism: this can be considered a subset of editorial photography. Photographs made in this context are accepted as a truthful documentation of a news story.
Fine art photography: photographs made to fulfill a vision, and reproduced to be sold directly to the customer.

I'd say photography would be more appropriate for the Artwork forum, I do notice a lack of photo discussion elsewhere, but maybe that's because you can make it sound so boring...

Methinks anubis is going to go into a state of shock. =P

I would think that this was a form of advertisement, but I have been proved wrong too many times.

My camera phone is 3.5 megapixels :D

Bots usually enter random information in the custom profile fields, I know this because I have at least one bot trying to advertise on my forum once a week. You can usually tell the bots by their retarded email address, random crap in profile fields and lame usernames.
