As a school Project I started to make a RPG/ Adventure game bassed on de Golden Sun Sprites. The story is bassed on a story I wrote myself a couple of years ago.
Here are some pics of it:

It's being made in Macromedia Director, and I am not sure as to if it is possible to make Random Battles (since RNG might be a hopeless task in that program). Some stuff needs to be fixed though, but tell me what you think of it so far
*edit
For some wierd reason this topic was made 2 time, my appolagizes to GSS

the colours are a bit trippy I admit, since I can't seem to find sprites of the inside of the homes in GS
but maybe I'll strike lucky and find something :P

A yes, most of my friends thought the same. It is story related. As I said before it is not A GS3, just a game based on it's sprites. The character who is using Felix's sprite has blue hair, and a light (saturos style) skin colour. You can see his race as the equivalant of the people from prox.
I'll post the full story when it's done (it's about 200 pages so it might take some time:P)

I love you man! We need more people like you around, to keep our favourite games alive. BTW what program are you using? Oh, and you should give Game maker a try.

Thnks for the reply, you make it worth while
I am using Macromedia Director now, and I will not use Gamemaker, since it is known for making glitches happen. This WILL take longer, but atleast it will be glitch free.
quality over time :D
Wish me luck,
BTW
Does anyone here have all of the sound files of GS and GSTLA (not the music, just the sound affects)
Thanks everyone

Don't bother going to GS Realm, you should find all the files here.

I don't know what file type they're in, but they're all here. Good luck in your venture.

Also I worked on the project all day yesterday, and my little Isaac sprite can FINALLY walk (I replaced Felix with Isaac since I couldn't find a sprite of Felix running left, right and up).
Maybe a demo is possible

time for a little update
I finally managed to fix the clipping glitch that made it possible for Raeng (mainchar's name) to walk through...about anything (hell he could walk out of the screen:P).
And I managed to making talking with some NPC's possible.
a demo is still a long way from home, since I am going to work on the random battles.
Also I am getting my Nintendo Wii with Zelda Twilight Princess, so there's a chance I'll put this project on hold until I've pretty much seen every pixel/ polygon of the game
Annnnd that's about it:P
later
*edit*
I didn't manage to get my hands on a Wii, though I did reserve one. I DID however manage to get Zelda, but without a Wii it's useless. So I'm gonna work some more on the game.
