We all know what it is: an online encyclopedia, knows almost everything, can be edited by almost everyone...here you may discuss the website, articles, your userpage, or even Wiki spin-offs. I myself joined recently and am currently working on an article about the point-and-click game, Submachine. I can start small, can't I?

I've mad a few articles there, but genreally, if I'm really researching, I find that it is pretty unreliable, contradicting almost everything else I read.

Anyway, Uncyclopedia is so much better!

Wikipedia is good for facts like info on aircrafts, water, the sun and the lots, but can be unreliable with events, especially current events.

I always use Wikipedia, but always back it up with my Encarta.

It is my primary source for getting album art for my iPod that isn't available from iTunes. Also, it is a great research tool, but I don't trust it with larger projects or essays. I also get info on upcoming albums from my favorite artists on Wikipedia. It's a great tool.

I use it a lot for researching things for History class, and other unrelated subjects. I find it to be a main resource for looking stuff up now, before I use google.

It's not any good for school projects, no accountability. However if I need a game summary or have a naggin question like "What's overclocking mean?" Wiki is indispensable.

Wikipedia is usually accurate with the less than controversial things, for example, the Atlas Moth. Of course, you should always use multiple sources for any sort of research project, not just WP.

My teachers usually advise for students not to use Wikipedia, just because anyone can put down information. I don't listen to them though, because most of the time I do the opposite of what they tell me (And yet I still manage to get good grades -_- ), and because wiki eliminates the whole search time on google and ask.com

I absolutely love Wikipedia. I usually check it for information about games, and game characters, but I will look at some more serious things from time to time, such as medieval weapons, planes and so on. Wiki has never dissapointed me so far, although I've heard stories of the website having many mistakes in the articles, which is quite logical actually...

I use it more for refference, maps, help on missions and quests and things.. And the odd elite spell here and there.

I mostly use Wikipedia for certain things like, "what's that song for the opening theme to [TV show]?" or "without all the unnecessary details, what exactly is [some disease or whatever]?".

I also like to Wiki for watching the development of games. Since they try to cite all their sources, you can find some pretty good info.

You really wouldn't want to use it as a primary source for school projects like someone else mentioned above.

That's exactly why I favor Wikipedia. It has an article on nearly every conceivable thing. If you are ever stuck searching for a particular topic, Wikipedia can at least give you a good sense of what you're looking for.

Search anything on Wiki and you're most likely to find something about it. It's just that awesome.

I like using it to look up episodes of certain shows on tv if I can't remember what it was about.

Agreed. In a way it is Gods finest creation... and in another way it isn't.

The most annoying thing is when a freaking ten year old will vandalize a topic. I was researching an American general and in the article it said he had four ears. :D

I was reading the Wiki for Akon, and wtf... is this really his name?
If it is, his parents gave him one hell of a name.
