Warning - Unused Accounts Will Be Deleted

On the evening of Monday, February 12, all accounts older than 14 days with less than 10 posts will be deleted.
We have had an issue with spambots, and we want to clean out the users list. I will take the forum down for a few minutes (<10 minutes) to do this user account pruning, as well as some maintenance such as post count recalculation and other miscellaneous cleanup work.
Once we update to IPB 2.1, these issues with spambots should go away. In the mean time, we will try to take some additional measures to cut down on their presence.
Update (2/25): Accounts created before February 1st, 2007, with less than 10 posts have been deleted. 1179 accounts were deleted. If your account was erroneously deleted, please contact me via email.

But I'm glad this purging thing is being done. And when we're updated to IPB 2.1, we can say good buy to porno and male enhancement ads!.......
[EDIT] When GSSF Awards 07' comes around, there should be a section for 'The Most Aliases' or something.

That said, this is going to purge an insane number of registered accounts.
Check out the attached picture. We're cleaning out nearly 130 pages of members, and at ten members per page, nearly 1300 accounts will be cleaned.
EDIT: Never mind about the screenshot.

Well you could bend the rules for people who spend their rime in the spam section?

Spam don't count, and never will.

Actually, they aren't. You won't get banned or warned, but if you know better, or have done it before (or don't have a good reason), then you'll probably be warned. This clutter control is probably meant to take care of all of those as well. Basically, just don't do it unless you had a REALLY good reason. Like I did.

I'm expecting Max to do the pruning within the next few days - his obligations for the robotic team, according to what he said, ends on February 20th.

Basically, we have three different categories of members:
1) The inactive users of old. These are members who might have been active months ago, they might even have a sig/avatar, but they have less than 10 posts, and they haven't been on in enough time to render them obsolete.
2) The new wave of members, including the GSAR influx. These are members that have been active in the past month, and may or may not have an avatar/sig (though by this time, they probably do).
3) Spam Bots. Easy to track down, no avatar, no signature, and either 1 post (if they posted in Off-Topic, etc.) or none (Common Room).
