I don't really feel sorry for him as I really don't approve of the 'religion'. I'm just glad the German government have taken such a strong stand.

I think along those lines too, but, is a government allowed to do that? Surely a fuss will be made about this.

Haha, that's a pathetic joke, I can find reasons to ban scientology already but seriously, a threat to democracy... come on..

I should note with that, this site doesn't actually state that but the actual government act that bans scientology does... xD

I don't see why he should be stopped from doing his job because of his beliefs. Its not as if the movie is about scientology.

Scientology - South Park style. Pretty funny. And true.

The German government is opposed to an important German historical figure being played by an actor who practises a "religion" that is (rightly) banned in Germany.

I don't agree with that though. I'm sure hes a perfectly decent guy, and I don't see how his religion (no matter how crazy it is) should affect whether he should be allowed to do his job. The person he plays and the person he is are completely seperate people, its not as if "Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg" is being portrayed as a Scientologist.

That's a good point, especially since (I believe) Scientology wasn't even around at that time.
I guess I've gone against my original post in the topic, but never mind.

To this article, I say whatever. Tom Cruise has made a mockery of himself and all of those around him with this parade over scientology. He's lost all credibility and nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to these kinds of stories.

If he ever gets another good role in a movie, one where he could win an award, I'll eat my words. But until then, Tom Cruise is not worth my discussion.

Scientology is a bad religion in my opinion, and I'm not saying that just because I believe in something else. I used to respect Tom Cruise as an actor until I learned of his new beliefs.
