But yeah, my video card sucks, so I'm not sure how well it'll run. But my friends video card sucks more, and it works for him, so I'm hopeful.

Totally worth it.

But never fear, for The Orange Box is here. It has the original Half-Life as well as episodes 1 and 2.

But seriously, I got it a few weeks ago, and it's pretty sweet. I've never tried Half-Life before it so it was a chance buy, but I think it was worth it.
Portal also dragged me into buying it.

I didn't find the main game too hard, but the advanced chambers are actually a bit tough.

I did all six out of six, however, they were a bit hard, especially test chamber 17 in advanced.
I laughed through the whole game though <3

I really do want the orange box. COD4 isn't my type of game, so I might be getting this next.

Wait, I'll answer my own question and say that you'd need a credit card to buy it online and you don't have one. That's why you need your mom.
You could still try to buy Orange Box yourself. If you're lucky, the register person will let you have it without ID. :( I bought Crysis and Bioshock this way. I'll be 17 soon anyway...

You are correct about that. I need to buy it from Valve's website. Plus, why spend your own money when your parents can spend it?
I need someone to take me to the store so I can buy Orange Box. :P

And yes, I know for a fact that the guy is what he says, because he had a buisness card with VALVe's logo on the front and back, and their signature picuture of a guy with a valve on his head on the back.

That's all you're gonna get out of him. ;P
And Split, that's exactly what I'm sad about. I liked having the ending left open, not knowing if Chell died or survived, and ending the story there. No announcement of Portal 2, no clarification on her death/passing out, nothing. That's what I wanted.
And Valve ruined it for me!

Actually first time I faced the boss I threw the last part of it in the furnace just as I died so then I did the whole thing again.

It's kinda creepy in test chamber 19 where you go into the scientists office and everything is deserted.

Tom have you heard about portal 2? It's probably going to have co-op. Hahah, that would be awesome, dropping you into a turrets line of fire.

Posted 14 April 2008 - 03:44 PM
But if you did that then I would portal you into a furnace XD

Anyways the advanced challenges? I used gamefaq to know how to do one or two puzzles that seemed impossible but even then, they were still preatty hard.

Not enjoying TF2 is fine, it's the marmite of online gaming, but i've never met a single person who hasn't loved HL2 and it's episodes. You've missed out on a major gaming milestone Tom.
