Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann aka Gurren Lagann. It's an anime.

It seems like a typical robot-fighting anime, but it's a bit better than that. Don't be put off by the leading female, Yoko, who is clad in a bikini top and tight hot pants. Admittedly, I hope she turns out to be more than an excuse for boobs since not much has been said about her. But boobs are boobs. I can't complain.
Follows the story of a man named Kamina and a kid named Simon, who call each other "brother" though they aren't related by family. They live in an underground village. Simon's work is to drill tunnels and expand the underground village with his portable drill. Meanwhile, Kamina tries to break out of the village and to the surface, though many of his village don't even think the "surface" exists since all they've known is being underground. Simon discovers a small drill attached to a necklace and, later, finds a large "face" that looks sculpted into the tunnel wall whilst he was drilling. Simon runs to show Kamina the large face but is interrupted as a giant robot crashes through the top of the cavern of the underground village. A woman named Yoko appears and tries to shoot the robot with her rifle but it doesn't do any noticeable damage. Simon takes Kamina and Yoko to the large face he found earlier, and he discovers that the large face is actually a smaller robot of the same ilk as the large robot, and he can use the drill necklace as a key to activate it. He uses the small robot to defeat the larger robot and then leaves the underground village for the surface.
On the surface they discover that there are more robots, called Gunmen (or Ganmen) who are piloted by Beastmen. They terrorize surface dwellers by day, and the humans desperately try to defend themselves. Simon and Kamina attempt to end the war between Beastman and humans with Yoko and some others along the way.
Well worth checking out.

Watching it through websites sucks. As suggested to me by laharl, download it through torrents.

Episodes 11-15 and 24-27 were my favorites. The animation for the entire series is the best I have EVER seen as well. Some of the cinematic were spectacular, such as episodes 15 and 27.
EDIT:

To avoid those annoying ads, just reduce the video size with one of the buttons.
EDIT #2:
For the sake of it. Gurren Lagann fan videos, the best of the best. DON'T WATCH THEM IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE SERIES, THEY CONTAIN MASSIVE SPOILERS. Except for the first one, maybe, if you're unobservant.

i doubt it'll become mainstream like Bleach or Naruto, mostly because there wasnt an incredibly retarded fanbase whilst the fansubs where being released, expect the US DVDs to start being released later this year (something i'll be importing )
Have you seen the OVA? Its amazing and set around episode 6 so theres no spoilers for WD and friends

But this is far better than either Naruto OR Bleach. And don't worry WD, Yoko isn't just there for the boobs. ;D (no innuendo's intended, so the sick half of your mind thinking about "that" is incorrect)
My only biff with this anime is it's shortness. Only 27 episodes. However, there's like twice as much content in any sinlge episode as there is in any Naruto episode.
If you want to make it last, don't watch more than one a day. And if anyone wants a torrent for the episodes in high-def, I think I still have the torrent lying around somewhere.

I wouldn't worry about that since my classes have kept me busy so far.
Only watched up to 6 but, I can't help but say Kamina's my favorite character. =D Getting a bit bored of the unconfident/indecisive main character anime seem to have so often. (Simon)

Found here.
The only thing you have to worry about is the FFDShow decoder thingy. It'll slow down your gameplay if you play PC games, but you can tell it to not activate when you start certain programs.

If anyone wants it, e-mail/PM me.
[EDIT] A quick and easy search useing uTorrent's search box turned up the 1-27 episodes in HD. It took me forever to find it in stadard def, because the tracking would always get off since my videocard is slow.
[EDIT] I double checked the rules just to be sure, and I'm pretty sure I can't link directly to a file which helps you download copyrighted content. <.<
So if you want it in HD, e-mail/PM me and I'll send you the link.

That Kamino guy, or whatever his name is, really needs to STFU. I've never watched much anime, only the crappy mainstream ones once or twice...but already i'm tired of all those inspiring pep-talks.
*gets shot*
But anyways, its good. I like it. I think I'll stick with the series.

Well, that was a bit rude... Let me put it this way then. The computer is right in the living room since we have a small house. If my dad is on the couch watching TV or something, what do you think he would think when he starts hearing all these people talking Japanese very dramatically? :o
To DarkSword and Caael, I was kidding. Well, half kidding. She's still definitely one of the hotter cartoon characters though.

it's an anthology of animated shorts featuring characters from Gurren Lagann in alternative worlds. Every clip is animated by a particular animator of GAINAX.
Creators are Akira Amemiya, Shin Itagaki, Hirokazu Kojima, SUEZEN, Ryouji Masuyama, Hiroyuki Yamaga, Yoh Yoshinari, and Keisuke Watanabe
Episode 1 - Rap is a man's soul!
Episode 2 - So this is burning? Do you like it?
Episode 3 - Boing vs. Boing
i think they're awesome

All I know is that that's a DVR. Don't you have like Dish or DrectTV? Or Comcast or something? I know TiVo's a service, but I don't think it's anything other than pausing live TV, replaying live TV, Pay Per View, etc. Could be wrong though.
But if it is a TV service, you should have a guide with program information on it that tells you what's going to be on next. We've got Dish, and it gives information for the next three or so days.
