Look at this. Call of Duty 5 is 2 months away and they are already announcing the 6th one!
I bet you anything the quality of the games will be ****.

Personally? I wasn't impressed with CoD4. It seemed like a generic military shooter. Which ever one was released for the Wii sucked hard. I liked the first one though.

FF13 was announced before 12 was released I believe.

And it's also too early to declare it as 'having hit bottom'. Wait until it's released!

COD4 = Infinity Ward.
Therefore:
COD6 = Pure win.
The jury's still out on COD5.

I sucked at both though, but Battlefield was pretty fun.

Yeah, that's how it happened. And just look at how sucky FF12 is and 13 is going to be! :(
And that "CoD 6 = Pure win" only applies if they're able to actually do something different with it.
It almost seems to me like CoD is becomming the FF of FPS's. Only FPS's are obviously far less origional than RPG's. :P

[EDIT] Wow, either I'm a dumbass or my browser is. Oh well. FF12 wasn't bad though, I'd bet you haven't even played it yet.

COD4, albeit better than a lot of FPS, was waaay overrated.

They're games where you shoot people with guns. Really, how many ways can a company refresh that idea without including aliens or gay crap like that.

My friend always ended the match 4 to 7 kills ahead of me on average, with me winning one match. Though he was going easy on me too.....D: all matches were to like, 20 kills or something.

Exactly my point. I'll stick with Halo 3 for now. It's entertained me more than most other FPS's I've played, but I haven't played Time Splitters or any Half-Life game yet.

I was going to slap you for saying that, but come to think of it I agree... Halo 3's a better party game with vehicles and crap, but COD4's still a better game all around.

It's a lot more fun to play by yourself, but Halo is a game made for multiplayer.

Probably why I prefer Halo 3.
When it comes to FPS's, I tend to prefer to play them with a lot of people. It's just funner that way.

I remember when COD was first released. The ability to pick up weapons off the floor was the coolest thing, now it's a standard.
