here's a thourogh evaluation of your setup:

positions: I don't really see the advantage in your positioning. I kep the higher HP in the middle, so as to spread out the damage I recieve more, so each character recieves minimal damage.

Classes: Isaac and Ivan's classes are good, although the samurai class greatly lowers Isaac's speed. I don't like Mia and Garet's classes, though; Garet's water power is generally too low for him to be able to do much with it.

Items: Isaac: get rid of the Knight's helm and give him the Warrior's helm. I recommend Storm gear for Isaac instead of Dragon Scales, as it boosts his resistance against all elements except earth (he already has lots of earth resist), and only has two less defense points than Dragon Scales.

Mia: I recommend the Oracle's Robe instead of Magical Cassock, as it raises her water power and her HP recovery.

Garet: I'd give him Demon Axe/Muramasa, Thunder Crown and Cleric's Ring. I'm not sure what you mean by "Battle Gloves", as I don't think that that exists.

Ivan: I'd give Storm Gear to Isaac and give Ivan a nice Feathered Robe.

^_^ i'm sorry to say that i don't remeber. i'd say i bought them in a shop, or got them from a item drop and didn't know. i didn't know about item drops untill i found the kikuichimonji ^_^

Battle Gloves.... um... I think there in a chest somewhere near Kalay. *sigh* Still... I can't find the kikuichimonji..... My friend said it was an item drop from this guy in the Venus Lighthouse, and still, after 2 hours of getting in battles, can't find it ^_^ .....ug...

I don't go strictly for best stat increases; I look for items best suited for the character.

This ain't the best setup there is, but I'm no expert RPG tactician; this stuff just gets the job done.

Mythyril Shirts and Hyper Boots are won in the Tolbi Slots; be sure to get lots of Game Tickets!

Well, either way you have to win them at Tolbi. :(
But, I also prefer the quick boots and running shirts (recommended for someone who wants to strike fast, first, and hard :wacko:...like a ninja)

I would post my team, but I can't reveal my secrets........

the other shirts are pretty good, but mythril shirt is by far the best.

as for the other boots, quick boots are also quite good; +3 defence, as opposed to the +4 you get from Hyper Boots, but they increase your agility (by quite a lot, if I'm not mistaken), whereas Hypa boots increase your critical hit ratios.

if you attack a lot, hyper boots are usually better. but if you prefer to use Magic, Quick boots let you strike first. the 1 defence difference really doesn't matter.

Isaac has the Demon Axe
Garet has the Gaia Blade
Ivan has the K.Blade
Mia has the Crystal Rod.
Order is Isaac, Garet, Ivan, Mia becuase that's the order you get them in.

What's a Knight's Helm?

I meddle with 2 party more as there are more classes to make.

You can buy the Knight's Helm in Lalivero (defense +33) but it's just +defense and doesn't have any added abilities

Thunder Crown (Cursed): defense +40, PP recovery +4
Lucky Cap: defense +33, PP recovery +2

The Japanese names are, if memory serves:

Gerald (Garet)
Ivan (same)
Mary (Mia)
Garcia (Felix)
Jasmine (Jenna)

Salamander/Satyous (Saturos)
Phoenixia/Menali (Menardi)

I'm at a crossroads; which do you prefer:

Quick Boots or Hyper Boots?

Depends on how you are using the character - if it's for physical attack then I think Hyper Boots are better, if psynergy then definitely Quick Boots - both have similar minor defense increases - so your only decision is critical or fast!

However if you're not fussed about either then I reckon Fur Boots are worth considering with water resistance of +15

Turtle Boots? Very silly - only use I can think of is if you want to decrease your agility for a character without fiddling with all the other items

Well, I already have at least four pairs of each (Fur Boots, Quick Boots, and Hyper Boots), and currently my party is equipped with the Hyper Boots (and I'll probably keep it that way), but I was wondering if anyone could sway my opinion; because I know that the Quick Boots give a HUGE speed boost.
