If any of you don't remember, quite some time ago, Acer stated (or more likely, was misunderstood) that they were going to make a gaming console. I.E. PS3/Wii/360 kind of console.
However, I just found this.
Looks cool, and the interior dosn't look too flimsy, but the outer shell of the case doesn't look very sturdy.
I commend Acer for using a logitec keyboard and mouse, and even an Nvidia chipset for the motherboard, but the company probably has them made in china for cheap, or makes them themselves (instead of buying them from EVGA/XFX/ASUS/etc.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is what they were talking about back then.

That's the point.
I'm pretty sure they were just misquoted or misunderstood or something.
A lot of people (myself included) thought at first that Acer was going to try (and fail) to eneter the console market.
This is proof that they weren't.

That's dirt cheap compared to other rigs I've seen/configured.
For the performance it's offering, it's actually a pretty decent price. But as always with Acer, it's the quality I'm worried about.

I'm liking the casing, its actually looks cool, but the price seems average, most rigs like that usually do cost that much, what probably boosted the price is the Intel Q9550 Quad-Core Processor.
