Having nothing to do (learning for exams) I found an article on wikipedia with a list of common misconceptions.
It's a good read and on more than one occasion I had the "get outta here" moment. Apparently the smarter people of society never thought the world was flat.

Some of those I knew, some I never heard of, and I was shocked at others.
