The beta is out for everyone now and I have been enjoying it so far.

I have tried every race apart from the Tyranids (Just starting a match with them now) and they all seem great. The game overall feels a lot more like the miniature game than the previous DoW and the races are all very distinct (A space marine squad only has 3 marines in it and Tyranids are t3h Zerg).

So far from playing I can say this about these races:

Space marines: Not that many units to chose from and there are not many units in each squad however they are also highly customizable and you can call down Terminator squads as a super power.

Orks: This race is very fun to play as has some awesome vehicles however the units that you can create seem very similar to the ones you can create from the space marines.

Eldar: Have a lot of units to chose from and a squad of Guardians has 5 units in it most units have upgrades that you can chose from that enhance their abilities. Also the Avatar is more powerful than any of the other races units so far (But I haven't fought the massive Ork tank or any Terminator squads yet).

I'm very excited for this game. Haven't tried the Beta yet though; I currently don't have access to a computer that could handle it.

It's Chaos only? I would have thought they'd release the races in twos again, like in the original Dawn of War(s).
Oh well. As long as the campaign is good, I'll forgive them. I don't really care for the multiplayer in DOW2.

The campaign is fun, however I don't think you will be playing as Chaos in the campaign, but I am pretty sure you can corrupt you marines somewhat.

Last mission of the original campaign was awesome though. I honestly thought we were all going to die at that one point and just took all of my troops into a corner to hold up.
