So, what do you think will be taken out of the game? Guns? Air? Space?
Stay tuned for Left 4 Dead Wii. Single player only.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was just a joke. Any other gaming news sites report on this?
And that screen is obviously fake, as I doubt that EA would provide a screen for a one sentence refrence. That, and the screen is more along the lines of DS graphics.

...
No seriously, what.
Dead Space was a great game on 360 but on Wii? Wasn't the wii version of Dead Rising bad? I'm sure this will have the same issues. Maybe they'll have only one alien on the ship...

Anyway, as far as I know Dead Space only had so many enemies on the screen at a time, so I wouldn't jump the gun on the game's quality just yet. People belittle the power the Wii has because of all the shovelware. The system is more powerful than the Xbox and twice as powerful as Game Cube. Devs are just lazy.

That's pretty much what I meant.
Anyway, the Wii is pretty powerful. Take a look at The Conduit and High Voltage's demo for the graphics engine. And that's only the first game to start pushing the Wii's hardware.

Well saying its powerful is a stretch. It's not weak, but compared to the 360 and PS3 it pales majorly in comparison.
And while I'm here, related topic time!

Because obviously this lazy port is the extent of the Wii's power.
Not saying the Wii is a good console right now. Not even saying that it's powerful.
What I am saying is that developers believe they can throw together a half-baked game on the Wii and people will buy it right up. Isn't it so much cheaper to make a simple, half-assed game like this than to make a good game that pushes a console's limits, such as RE4 on the GameCube?

Well yeah. I'm just agreeing with WD on this one. The Wii may not be on the level of even the 360, but it's more powerful than people give it credit for.
I mean, have you seen High Voltage's tech demo for the Wii? Compared to pretty much everything else out on the console, I'd say it's an understatement to call it impressive.
Obviously the 360/PS3 could pull off that without blinking an eye, but my point is [insert WD's post above here]
[EDIT] HV Tech Demo
Notice how nice the water looks. :P
Anyway, the Wii may not be able to achieve high polygon counts (that means blockier objects), but it can still pull off a lot of texture and lighting effects that the other two consoles can, and from personal experience, Crysis looks way better with maxed out shaders and everything else on low, than vice-versa.

Does that even matter though? Even if its more powerful than people think, it's still the weakest of the 3 consoles so it will be constantly overshadowed. That video is nothing special because there is so much better out there. It might be amazing for Wii users, but PS3 and 360 owners have had much better than that for years now.

Designers are making these ****ty games because, for the most part, people have been buying them anyway. Nintendo's a freaking business genius for pulling this off, I wonder how long it will keep up.

The point is, is that even though the Wii is far less powerful, it's still capable of pulling off some pretty impressive graphics. Even when compared to the other consoles.
Keep in mind that you can't just look at a console's stats. Like how fast it's processor is or whatever. If you could, then the PS3 would effectively have the graphics horsepower of a brick, because the GPU it's graphics chip is based on is old as **** (if you consider how fast technology advances at least), not to mention the fact that it has relatively little RAM to work with. Also, the CellBE actually has little to do with the processing of the 3D graphics. It handles the physics/etc. and everything else.
Anyway, the Wii is less powerful. Quite a bit less powerful. Infact, it doesn't even support high-def output. But just because it can't, doesn't mean it can't make the objects on screen look stunning.
Lighting effects and bump-mapping are far more important to making a picture look stunning than it's resolution or polygon count. The latter two are just icing on the cake.
So in that context, the Wii is capable of making a devils food cake without icing, while the 360 can make it with icing, and the PS3 can do all that and throw sprinkles and swirly patterns on top as if to say "Look at me! I'm an attention whore". But everyone still likes the PS3's cake more because it looks so much better than the 360's. Even though the two taste pretty much the same.
So even though the 360's cake and the PS3's cake taste better, the Wii's is still pretty succulent.

A party (graphics + gameplay) with a nice cake (graphics) can still be crap if the entertainment (gameplay) sucks or is childish (i.e. most shovelware).
