Yea I've seen two different previews for it, looks awesome. Re-watched the first one the other night, was a great movie, definitely looking forward to the second one.

Well, I've seen this movie yesterday, and GOD I was disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, the action scenes and special effects were ****anific. Really great. One point Optimus fights three decepticons and that scene is badass.

But the story sucked, there were loads of scenes which did not add anything, and the "final" fights sucked balls. Seriously.

Ok.. for those who want to know what's gonna happen, here I will say what is gay about the movie.

Ok.. so both Optimus and Sam die. First Optimus, and then Sam must find a way to bring him back to live. So in the end Sam get's boomed by a big-ass rocket. He's dead. Then you see Megan Fox running towards him (btw she runs in slow-mo in this movie, with bouncing boobs!!). Screaming "I love you blabla", and when the medics have given up on him the 7 ancient Primes bring him back to life. Then he brings Optimus back to life, Optimus becomes super saiyan and then starts to fight The Fallen (you know, the bad-ass boss, to whom even Megatron bows). Well, the fights lasts 10 seconds because Optimus seriously kicks the living daylight out of him and smashes his brains across the floor. Now, with all this you haven't even seen anything about the story. The story is gayness itself. The Fallen needs to find an ancient dagger to activate a machine which is hidden inside a pyramide (uh-huh) so the machine can destroy the sun... That's it. To me it sees such a mission would have had a better change of success when they would deploy 20 ninja-bots or something... Anyway, besides all this crap the fighting scenes were top-notch. Oh and the Twins, two retarded auto-bots, are ****ING BRILLIANT.

The point of the sun-destroying-machine was to create an energy source for the Transformers. To obtain energy for sustaining their very existence was the whole point in seeking out suns and using the machine to make some kind of special energy they needed. But the Primes vowed never to destroy a planet inhabited by living beings, and thus the story begins

Indeed, that is a more elaborate explanation of the story. But in my opinion it is still weak. See, this movie is a sequel. And when writing a sequel, story writers, in my opinion, must always take note of the chronological order of events. Because the story of part two would be a much better reason for the decepticons to visit planet earth and destroy it. It would be more logical if such events as seen in part two would take place in part one. The story writers just wanted to create a new cool story, but to me such a story would be much better to be a part one, then after another movie.

Then of course, you can say that they needed the cube to gather the information about the matrix. But in part one, there isn't a trace anywhere saying that they needed the cube for that purpose. In the first part they needed it for something else, and now all of a sudden it is the information about the matrix they want.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe they ever specify in the first movie why they want the All-Spark. I've seen the movie like a bazillion times since it's been running on HBO like every day for the last year, but maybe I just missed that one line of exposition.

I saw it today in "IMAX" (not true IMAX that some science museums have, but the slightly-larger-than-normal version that most movie theaters have), and I thought it was an enjoyable action movie. If you go in expecting a good story and character development from an action movie, you are bound to be disappointed. I thought the combination of awesome action sequences and slap-stick/crude humor worked pretty well; at least, it got a lot of laughs and a healthy applause at the end from the theatre crowd when I went.

Yeah, I went to the midnight showing and we had a lot of laughs too. The only thing I would complain about is the story's believability. But when you have a movie about giant alien transforming robots, you REALLY just tossed believability out the window. And I think most people would agree, the whole reason we go and watch movies is so we can see something that's striking, out of the ordinary, not every day believable life.

just as the annoying dorm roomate guy was about to get tazered by the CIA guy

there were all these bubbles and you could see the film begin to tear apart. It was about 15 minutes of nerd rage and potty breaks during that time XD

Well, Max, I think I must have been confusing the first movie with something else, because I was positive that they needed the all-spark for something else, but I only saw it twice, so you'd probably know better, haha.

Gotta agree about the funny parts. There were some good laughs (When Leo is scared, and the twins call him "pussy" is one of my favorites). But I still have to say the movie had a lot of loose parts and very cliché scenes (saw a few times that the auto-bots were RIGHT on time to save his ass). The scenes with the dangerous hotty, what was that all about? You never knew how she got there in the first place, what her intentions were, and she got killed rather easily. The whole scene just seemed to be a "start" for the real action and destruction to begin in the movie.

Thought the movie was really good, wasn't disappointed although I didn't expect it to be better then the first. Only complaint was that the story seemed to take the bench to the action, although since it was the reverse in the first one I can forgive it. And apparently the story with Megatron and the Fallen happened in the comic books or cartoons or something my mate said.

And in the first one didn't Megatron want the all-spark to turn Earth's machines into robots and destroy the universe?

Lebouff (sp?) finally died near the end of the movie, but there are numerous other times where there's no way he could've survived. At least not without some broken limbs. Same goes for his girlfriend and room mate.

I mean seriously. If a missile blows up huge chunks of brick right behind you, chances are you're going to get pummeled by broken pieces of brick, and you're probably gonna break something or at least get a concussion.
