I'm not going to use the word "back", but I'll be around. I'm planning some exciting things though, after my exams and such and such. Golden Sun related.

I'm going to make my own version of Golden Sun Adepts Battle Arena, however, it's going to be alot of work.

I might be way over my head, but whatever. I'll try to make something. Even if I fail.

And I just realized how hard it's going to be to emulate the Golden Sun Battle System. I'll just have to pluck all information from any website I can find. This is gonna be the biggest program I have done ever.

well everything is a distance from the centre point where the camera is. So you would give every sprite an x/y/z coordinate (relative to the camera focus/centre point) and then calculate the distance they are from the camera given the current rotation/zoom, and then scale them accordingly.
The background loops, so it will move left and right by some factor of the camera rotation.
That's how I imagine it would be done, lol. Don't ask me about the spell effects O.o

Acutally, it's about the actual battle damage calculation rather then the visual interface. It's going to be text based.

Can't be that hard, can it? All you need is the variables for each type of attack, and then an algorithm to determine the influence of the attacker's offensive stats and the enemy's defensive stats.
An RNG might take some working out, though.

Well I found a file full of info. but here's the next problem. if I miss any variable and create a character, I can't change the program without irreparably blocking the character.
