Either way, if you pay attention, at about 1:25ish you see an alternate pathway that you can jump along, and it takes you to a crystal. Maybe this has something to do with the plot?

it's a psynergy crystal, reimagined and realized in full 3D!! Some people think that area may be the caverns of mt Aleph, or at least, what's left after the place was destroyed.

Also it seems at the start that people can walk back to that house, why does nobody ever go there? Is there an invisible wall? Both times in that vid they continue down the path and then watch the recorded stuff, yawn.
