Russia being knocked out by Slovenia was pretty dramatic.
Egypt, reigning African Champions twice in a row, were narrowly beaten by Algeria.
Turkey and the Czech Republic were eliminated early on.
And Argentina and Portugal were at one point almost out completely, but they made it back.

Felt very sorry for Ireland, definitely didn't deserve to go out like they did but the requests for a replay will almost certainly go on deaf ears. France may have been poor in qualifying but Brazil barely qualified in 2002, so it doesn't necessarily mean no chance of success.
I'm pretty excited though, I think I've got a more mature outlook on the sport now than I ever had before, and I can't wait for next summer.

Group G probably is the poule with the most entertaining games. A poule with Kaka, Ronaldo and Drogba really cant be boring.
