Holy crap. I absolutely cannot believe this.

For those that don't know, X-Com is an old-as-hell turn based strategy series that got it's starts in MS-DOS. My dad used to play it, and I played it a bit myself too. Pretty cool stuff.

But apparently the guys behind Bioshock 2 are making a FPS to go along with the series. Dunno how it'll turn out, but my hopes are up, so to speak.

Dude, how can you say that? It was like the best turn based strategy ever for MS-DOS. ):

At least the original, "XCOM: Terror From The Deep," was. I need to go back and play that game again. Though I should probably look for that technology development flow sheet first. That thing was pretty darn handy.

The highlight of the game was your rookies going crazy with terror and getting themselves and each other killed in hilarious ways.

Never played this game but why does everything need to turn into a first person experience?

Apparently it's to make the whole experience more immersive and real and stuff.

                *shrugs*

Either way, it's going to be made by an awesome group of software developers, so I'm not to worried about the outcome.

I don't think its so much about FPS as the fact that a lot of people now a-days either don't have the time or the attention span to play anything else...most of them stick around Call Of Duty or God Of War. I'm not saying anything about either series, they both are good...but I notice that there is a tendency in the masses to stick with the quickies >.> I personally would like to see how this game turns out, especially since Bioshock 2's peeps are the ones behind the developing. It should give it a good new twist or two.WAIT. Correction, God of War's STORYLINE is good. Thank you.

                      SON, I AM DISAPPOINT.

Thought to be fair I pretty much haven't played GoW at all.

Anyway, I agree with the rest of your statement.

I was going to disagree but... I guess it's alright, but GoW is one of the few games where I completely ignore the story.

REALLY? No way Someone Else hahaha, I think its because of the mass amounts of bloodshed that you would say that. Which, granted when I'm in a mood I don't mind getting the achievement for spilling 95 gallons of blood haha.
