Official Japanese Website

If we have any Japanese readers, please feel free to share translations. The site does not contain any new info, and just includes the video from yesterday and some art from New Vale. 2010 is still listed as the release date, which could mean it will come out in Japan first this holiday season, and elsewhere next year.

Though at least the footage was mostly new. Looks like the fourth party member is a female mercury adept.

Can you translate anything for us based on your grasp of Japanese, for instance, whatever it says when you click on "World View"?

Not promising anything though.
[EDIT]
First line reads "The four Elements [Earth] [Water] [Fire] [Wind]"
The underlined part is "erementaru" which is the Japanese pronunciation of "element(s)". The first character in brackets isn't something I recognize, but I'm assuming it means earth, or something similar.
The window that pops up from the underlined text has too much kanji for me to translate. Kanji is used both in Japan and China, and is a whole lot more complicated since each symbol represents a thing, rather than a sound.
[EDIT 2]
I'm having the same problem with the other lines. All I can make out is that it mentions the elements two more times. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that this is just the back story from the previous two games with a tiny tidbit of new info (i.e. it ends with "and now vortexes are popping up and sucking everything into an endless void" or something).
I can read romaji, and I've got two sheets of paper which I can use to convert Hiragana and Katakana into Romaji, but I don't have anything like that for Kanji. Besides, if I did, it'd probably be a book with a few hundred pages. :\

This is few months late, but at least it confirms that release date 2010 is not only speculation but been confirmed by Nintendo itself...

It had better not have a delayed release in Australia, if so I'm buying the US or UK version. Hope it comes out before the end of the year as thats when my holidays start.
Wonder if we are gonna get an official English website in the coming months.
PS could listen to that song for hours!

I can't say anything for KH:358/2 though. Haven't played that game yet.
But personally, I'm just really impressed with the music. I think they could've done something different with the intro to the main theme though. It seems too cheesy. I got the same feeling when listening to some of the music in the new Kid Icarus game.

But yeah the fanboyism is playing a big part. GS was the first game I played and thus is the game I compare everthing to. Compared to every other role playing game I can think of on the DS GS is the best looking, but it's art style is one that I prefer over most others such as Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy or Pokemon.

Overall, the trailer got me excited. A new chapter in the Golden Sun storyline based on the same battle system we know and love, and the new psynergy abilities outside of battle look to make for some great puzzles.
Late 2010 (2011?) can't come soon enough.

I agree. That said, we're talking about the DS here..
MPH disagree. I've not touched the Kingdom Hearts for DS though.

I dunno, I'd wager to say this is one of the best looking DS games, but then maybe I wouldn't know since probably most of the DS games I have used 2D graphics anyway.

Check out the pic about half way down the page with the map of weyard. Looks like we will only be exploring Angara. Looks pretty sick though. I personally wasn't hoping for any more with the graphics as I realize how underpowered the DS is. And I too love the art style, and I still think the graphics are better than that of KH.

Anyway, I don't see why we'd be stuck in Angara. I see nothing to suggest anything of the sort.
As for the graphics, I would've liked to see something with more polygons, but the DS isn't exactly a powerful system, and Camelot isn't exactly rich either.

I highly doubt that's the whole map, and I see no reason, now that the whole of Weyard has been explored and civilizations are expanding, that we would be limited to Angara.
Unless they plan on making a sequel to DD. =OOO

I hope you're right, but i just can't believe that the game will be that big. If you could explore most or even all of Weyard the game could get freakn huge and I doubt that Camelot have put that much time into it.
You mentioning a sequel reminded me of a link i saw on GS realm. Translated Interview Thingy
The Head of Camelot Hiroyuki says "the first two games are prologues of this series. From this game on, it's the main story." Might be error in translation but its been bugging me ever since i read it.
