Brief Update

The GSS Design contest is going to end on Friday November 12, so please get your entries in by then. More information can be found here. Starting on Saturday the 13th, all you users will be able to vote for your favorite design, which will become the new site design for GSS. But more on that will come next week.
Also, the forum behavior has been getting out of hand. If the spam outside the spam forum and double posting does not stop then there will be consequences, so please cut it out. The moderators are going to stop giving out verbal warnings and go straight to real warnings, so get your act together please everyone. If spam remains a problem then there are going to have to be some major changes, possibly meaning the closing of the forum, so you all better start shaping up.
It would be unfair to close the forums because of the actions of a few, so if you see someone that is not following the rules, send them PMs and report their posts so that they clean up their act so everyone does not pay the price.

I've seen quadrouple posts...XD
I'd hate it if members were the reason that closed the forums...

...Kiku, we want to help the "newbs" to better themselves, not scare them away... :(

Well, okay, scratch the "not supporting" part, but you get the idea.
I'll keep on the lookout and do what is needed. You can count on me. :(

A good place to look is the GS and GSW forums, methinks, that's where the newbies seem to go (especially the ones who don't know the rules).

No, I noticed other members reporting stuff, WD-san.
I agree with the good place to look thing. But some of the new people dont listen and just post away. But I'm not saying whom, because very little do that now a days. Still, some of them dont even know the rules, and they come to the other members for advice, instead of looking at the rules now and then.

That's very true, which is why we have to remember to be kind and gentle to the new users when correcting them, rather than criticize and scare them off.

It would be a fun way of getting people to learn the forum rules.

Remember everyone that you can't just shoot people down if they don't follow the rules. You kindly correct them, answer whatever they asked (even if it is spam), send them on their way and alert the spam to a mod (whom should merge double posts or delete drastically off-topic posts).
The last thing we need is for everyone to shout the newbies down. This is meant to be a forum where new members can come and feel welcome.
You can't expect every new member to be a perfect poster the moment they join. Many of them have probably never used a forum before.
Spam and topic cloning seem to be the most common newbie errors -_-.

It would be so funny if a moderator failed the test... XD

On a higher note, for the skin contest, can we just give you a header pic? I can't create sigs, but I can make pretty good headers! :D

About the skin contest, the whole point is making an entire design. A header itself really isn't worth anything.

n.n I'm not going the contest thing, but I agree with you about reading the rules. *coughs* ^-^ Some of the new members look up to the older members, instead of reading the rules. Like I said before. =P
Rules have REASONS to be read! That's why they're there in the first place! x.x
