This is one of the most highly anticipated games of this quarter and this is where to talk about it.
I'll get things started. Do you plan on buying this game and if you are, what appeals to you the most about it?

And yes, Nintendo lost quite a few sales in releasing the game in the midst of Halo 2's success. Even the original Prime sold more copies in its first week.
----
But all that is long gone. It's been nearly two years now, and this game, simply put, is amazing. The graphics are amazing, the level design is unbelievable, and these are some of the best boss battles (and most memorable; Quadraxis anyone?) of any video games I've ever played.

I beat Paper Mario, then I bought Pikmin 2. So, now I have TWO Gamecube games left to beat( at least! Still have master's quest too..).

I found it fairly easy. And as a note, don't feel too comfertable once you've beat it. You still have something to take care of.

I've just finished the game. I love it, it is amazing, I like it even more then the original Metroid Prime. I was dissapointed with the end battle though, but I won't get into details as not to ruin it for SoT(who probably didn't finish it yet).
I've been scanning every single thing I could, since I really wanted 100% of scans, but I've missed a few darn things! I think I don't have one Dark Flyer or something, but most importantly I don't have a Metroid! I've got the Tallon Metroid and Dark Tallon Metroid, but the little line at the bottom of the Offworld Metroid page of the Logbook shoes I've still got one Metroid left to scan. I'll go through the whole world searching for these missing scans now.
I love the difficulty of the game, hard enough for me to die quite a few times, but never frustrating. I think all the people who complained how hard teh game is are idiots who shouldn't even be playing games. I wish all games were as difficult as Echoes.

In Echoes, it's structured almost like an RPG; you go to each world, find three temple keys, challenge the boss there, and then move on to the next area, hardly ever needing to backtrack.

All in all, I think the first Prime was a better game, since the gameplay was new, the story was more interesting(in my opinion), the areas were more diverse and the bosses were better than in Echoes(again, my opinion), but I just had so much more fun playing this game. Also, it took me longer to finish, so in the end I have to say I like Echoes quite a bit more than Prime number one.
I bet Corruption will be the best of the three though. I'm looking forward to it almost as much as I'm looking forward to Twilight Princess. And that's saying a lot.
How many items did you have the first time you finished the game? I had(and still have) 91%, but now that I'm going to search for the remaining scans I'm also gonna try and get all the items.

I never did feel the same way about Echoes as I did for the first title. It didn't grab my interest in the same way.

I hope they bring some of that back for Corruption.

And I found the bosses in Echoes to far surpass those of Prime. The final boss at the end of the Sanctuary Fortress, for example, is perhaps the most epic and magnificent boss battle I've ever experienced, because it's so well-designed, and the sense of beating it is one of an incredible accomplishment.

I think the Light/Dark worlds idea is very unoriginal actually, but the Beam thing is quite innovative. Especially how the different beams effect the Light Crystal/Beacons and how the Ing react differently to them.
But as for the bosses, I don't know... Prime has the second best bosses of any game if you ask me(right after Ocarina of Time). I mean, nothing beats the Meta-Ridley and Omega Pirate fights. The battles I always most looked forward to in Echoes were the Dark Samus fights, but all of them were very easy, though I admit some (mini)bosses were really difficult, just as I like them. Boost Guardian anyone?

And I was referring to fighting Quadraxis as the boss for the Sanctuary Fortress. The systematic way of breaking it down, was perhaps one of the most elegant combinations of a lot of your abilities.

Can somebody who has a lot of the scans maybe check which Cocoon I'm missing, please? I have the War Wasp Hive and the Splinter Cocoon, but I'm missing one more. I also have the Night Barb and Dark War Wasp, but don't have one more Dark Flyer.

I'm going to start MP2 fresh now, and continue the series while it's fresh in my mind. Wish me luck!

Well, at least I got 100% of items. I went looking for the remaining ones when I finished the game. I wanted to fully complete the game, but that is obviously impossible now... *sigh*
