Well, as you can see, this is the first non-Max topic in this forum.

As you know, Max is on vacation and he mentioned that if these forums aren't kept spick and span the forums could be closing down.

This week and the next, this forum is going to get a lot of traffic (Due to Christmas Break) so the Moderators will be watching carefully for people intentionally (Or unintentionally) breaking the rules. You agreed to follow the rules by signing up at these forums.

If you break the rule the first time (And are a known, experienced member) then you shall receive a message, with the exact rule you broke (copied from the rules list) and a warning (%).

If you are a new member and break a rule, you shall receive a verbal warning, and if you repeat the action, a percentage warning with the exact rule you broke.

If you repeatedly break rules on this forum, you will be suspended or banned from these forums until Max is back (1 week at minimum).

I hope you can all understand the purpose of this and that I am not doing this for any hidden reason other than enforcing the rules (which you all agreed to by signing up) and keeping the forum neat.

EDIT:This also means that if you see someone breaking the rules, you should report it and NOT tell them in that topic. Telling someone they broke the rules is spam and is also against the rules itself.

If you don't know the rules, they can be viewed here: http://www.goldensun-syndicate.net/forum/i...?act=boardrules

    Have a Merry Christmas.

Well, I don't blame you Nick, esecially that its winter break, some of the traffic will be spammers who hate this site, so its a good thing your crackin' down. The last thing I want is this board to close...I can't imagine to be w/o it.... >_<

Wow, and I thought getting to 1000 posts was tough ...

Anyway, I'll be on the look-out for sure. If any signs of newbie spam are seen, then I'll make sure it's reported.

Same goes to all of you guys. Not only do you have to be careful not to spam, but you must at least help out. Not all the moderators can be here at once, so it's up to you guys, and when we're notified of a problem, we'll take care of it.

                  Thanks. And Happy Holidays!

Just don't scare everyone away by being too strict. I hate people that go out of their way to give newbie rule breakers a hard time :\.
I trust that you won't do that though.

Being too strict is the only way these forums can get back to the state they were a few months ago. Newbie rule breakers need to learn some time, and the best time to learn the rules is when they first break one.
