Even so, I'd have to go with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The game, in itself, is very well defined, and the gameplay is true (but not completely) to the FPS genre. Although it can give you nightmares ...

Metroid prime (kinda lost it after getting the gravity suit. You can tell they started rushing development)
Melee (so... much... fun...)
Wind Waker (take away the triforce shards and add in two more dungeons and this game would take #1. oh, and raise the difficulty a bit)

Tales Of Symphonia because just when you think it's over there is another huge twist and the game goes on! Definatly kept me at the edge of my seat!
AND
Baten Kaitos because like TOS it has another huge twist after the other and the ending is an emotional roller coaster.

Okay, this is the second time this has happened. This time, it wasn't in the "Last Post By" section, but it was the first post on the first page of the forum. Maybe I should examine my computer/Internet connection...it is completely NOT like me to necropost, let alone two days in a row.

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Zelda: The Wind Waker (which I consider as good as TP)
Metroid Prime (still haven't beat it yet)
That are the games I REALLY enjoyed. I was pretty disapointed with some mayor franchises as Mario, Donkey Kong and StarFox during the GameCube era but hopefully the Wii titles make up for it.

I'd also add Tales of Symphonia, Soul Calibur II, and Twilight Princess (if that one counts - but I think all the aforementioned titles have been nominated already).

If I have to say why, I'm going to slap Blue Mage.

The game is very different to anything else, but if you ask me it could be classified as an adventure game. Lots of exploring and stuff. And although many people say it's a strategy game it barely has any strategic elements. I think that's where Nintendo went wrong with Pikmin 2... Though it's still a great game.

Shut up before I slap your ass to a Cambodian ghetto. If you don't even have a GameCube, then don't bother voting with your biased-ass opinion, and you can pick up a GameCube for cheap now, so tell your parents to stop being so tight with pocket money and just buy you the damn thing. Plus he doesn't make the rules, but I do, because I'm Rick James, beetch.
PS. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles was below average, and only shifted copies because it was Final Fantasy. You think anyone was going to buy that game if it was called Legend of John: Adventures of Time? Hell no.
PS. I know that post was posted ages ago, but I was bored.

If I listed all the Final Fantasy spin-offs that were confirmed by Squenix to you right now you'd be surprised. It's not a re-make of FFCC by the way, it's simply a sequel. Although FFCC rarely focussed on the storyline much so I suspect it's just going to be another FFCC with improved gameplay mechanics and some new silly ways of using the touch screen or microphone.
Know what would make Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates a good game? The GameCube version was slightly fun if you could play it co-op with your friend, so adding a Wi-Fi co-op option will make this game worth getting excited for really. Especially if you can play co-op with anyone around the world.

I never said the multiplayer was not horrible, I simply stated the truth in the fact that the multiplayer was the only feature within the game that actually made it playable at all. There are many good games out there, even if you just own a GameCube there are still a few decent tiles out there which should stop you from being desperate enough to buy this game assuming it's going to be good simply because it says "Final Fantasy" at the start of the title.

It's not the greatest GameCube game ever if you think it's the second best RPG on the console. I would take this opportunity to abuse your stupidity but to be honest you're no less intelligent than all the other fanboys which means abusing just you would be unfair for the rest of your buddies.
