READ THIS (Since so many people don't): well, here's a new creation. I was listening to muse when I drew this, so thats what inspired me. and if you look it looks like it says "feel MUSIC" but it actually is saying "feel MUSE" 'cause yeah. you can take it either way though.

It looks good, but the Lens Flare effect seems sort of... seperate from everything else. Maybe if you make the overall lighting a bit brighter it will feel "more at home".

1st pic: I like this one alot. Her staff should be a little longer however, it looks a little bit more like she's holding a really long wand. She seems a bit too tall for that body over all; she's too thin to be at that height. =X.

2nd pic: Don't really have any complaints. The water doesn't look to natural, but then, that was probably what you wanted! :3

I know what you're saying about the first one (and second). I drew that back in october of last year. The pictures are in order from oldest to newest, with the forte one being finished only a few days ago. I really wish I could upload all of my artwork over the past year, it'd really show you a glimpse of how persistence and dedication can give you great results. At the beginning of 2005, I looked back at 2004's artwork and thought to myself "wow, I'm so much better now. I don't think I can improve." But then 2006 rolled around, and I looked back at 2005 and thought, "wow...I did improve. does this mean I can improve more?" And this year, 2006 ended, and I looked back a few days ago, at all my artwork from the time I started coming here, and realized that we're always improving. It excites me yet scares me to think that someday I'll look back and think "I thought that crap was GOOD?!" XD And hopefully I'll never stop improving.

Kinda symbolic of how things have changed over the years for me. Along with the my artwork, other things have undergone dramatic transformations. I guess the whole metaphor of it is artwork in itself. Beautiful, isn't it?

I only say one cause I have dail up, but they are pretty nice. Here is some advice:

Nose is a bit too high, the mouth is closer to the noise the the chin.
In the side view the face seems flat, pull the nose out more.
And the hand, you should try to draw with shapes first before you try to tackle the hand head on. Draw with circles and cycliners. It helps. Also, buy one of the woodeen dummies that you can move it's arm and legs, they are pretty helpfull on the over scale anatamy.

Is that ok?

My brother's friend found this kitten on their doorstep last Tuesday--the same way we found our last cat, an orange tabby named Kitty, who passed away last September. Sorry I haven't gotten around to working on your requests >.< I actually tried Blue's request, but it came out all crappy and so I threw it away. I can't draw when I'm not real inspired.

My dad downloaded a trial version of Adobe Illustrator cs3 'cause it wouldn't work on my computer, but so far I LOVE IT. I really want to buy it, but with no job, that'll be kinda hard XD. Hopefully he decides he needs it too. :P

I drew this a while ago, and I think I posted it up here, but I really like how it came out when I did a little photoshop editing. :3 Blues is my god, if you couldn't tell. ;)

Unfortunately, my computer won't support photoshop nor do I have the money to buy it v.v

Instead, I use Paint Shop Pro. Kinda half-baked and cheap, but I've been using it for a long time so I really know how to make the best of it. I do wish I had photoshop to make my hand-drawn artwork look 72384738903 times better, but sadly, every time I try to install Photoshop, illustrator, or something else of that genre, it phails me v.v;

You did a great job on the dress, the wrinkles look like they were tough to do but you pulled it off superbly. Her belt "buckle" (?) has good detail to it as well. Really like the expression on her face here. She looks like she's grinning and sneering at the same time which suits the pictures theme.

The only flaw is that the lighting looks a little strange. It looks like you intended the light source to be from below, but I can't actually tell if it's coming from below her or above her. On her arms and shoulders, it looks like it's coming from below as the shadows are on top of the arms and shoulders. Her bust has a shadow on the top of her dress as if the light is from below, yet her cleavage is covered in light as if it's from the top. Her face is shadowed by her hair and the shadows are at her neck as well as if the light is from the top... but her collarbones are casting shadows upwards as if the light is from below. See what I mean?

If you drew it so that the shadows rest on her shoulders and upper chest, and that light rests on her cheekbones and lower bust (like it already is) the light would look better. The cleavage in itself looks weird but you don't draw cleavage that much so I'm not gonna complain.

Sorry about the rant of lighting and shadows, as you know, I'm a photographer, so I have to have a natural eye for that sort of thing. It's actually a really awesome drawing, that's why I'm giving such critique. I like to see already great things done even better. :P

To be honest I'm not into conceptual photography, though it looks like you're on to some interesting ideas. I'm not trained as such, so I can't give pointers.

The one with the leaves and the tree, I like that one. It has nice shapes and lines, and it'd be even better if it were done with black and white film with some extreme exposure, to bring out the contrast between the tree limbs and plants and the background.

SO. I had a good picture. I was SO CLOSE to being finished. I started drawing this earlier, then as my internet dropped, I disconnected my computer from the power adapter to see if I could pick up a signal if I stood by the router. Well once it finally picked it up, the battery died on my comptuer and I lost EVERYTHING I was working on! @#$%! I tried again, but the first attempt was WAY better. TT;

Oh, and officially, I HATE drawing eyes! To match the right style of eye to the drawing is so hard, much less the fact that I can't color eyes for the life of me. And yes, I know. It looks like her right eye is falling off her face o.x

It still looks good. My challenge with eyes, is keeping them proportional to eachother and the face. I always seem to draw one bigger than the other, and never just right. And I hate drawing hands, hands suck. Feet are hard to keep the same size too. But I also have **** drawing skills.
