Here are all of my most recent photos, or at least ones that I have not posted to my art topic. You still better go to devART if you want even more of this stuff, or my site in this case, where the quality tested ones are uploaded to :P I will be updating this topic of course, but there may be more that will only be at devArt on occasion. Note: These go to the description pages at my site, since I didn't want to kill any people with slow internet with 500k images and the server slowdown that is devArt :P

It's infrared, in case you're wondering why it looks so white/pinkish. That's what IR does.

1) 8 Megapixel Camera w/8X Optical Zoom Lens & OMFG super macro mode (or at least in my case)
2) Knack/knowledge of composition and technical aspects of photography in order to achieve proper exposure
3) Sense of art direction

1GB Compact Flash Card = 300+ pictures. Which means I can shoot without worry about space. That's why the pics are so poplous. As for where do I go, well, I just determine a good POV and perspective to shoot from. I'm of course limited due to the paths and whatnot (it is a zoo after all), but that still allows me to have control over the composition *of course*.

Huh? Eh, you're making no sense...all of the photos are mine, 100% me, not even someone else operating the camera for when I'm in the shot...

Not really. At most, I'll travel thirty minutes away. The farthest I've traveled is probably an hour or two to the Fort Worth Zoo.

it woulda been cooler if you could stretch out the top and had more of the sky, atleast, i think that woulda opened it up more.

The truck one is very cool, me likey.
Those other 3 are all very similar though. I like Lakesize IV, but the other 2 just look like clones. Same style, similar colours etc.

Truck is just fantastic, and I also love the sky in 'Picnic Redux' and 'Lakeside IV'
'Gloaming' is pretty similar though, and doesn't really have the interesting cloud shapes seen in the other two.

From your first post, up there last year, the "Guard" has to be my favorite of all your photo's. It's hard to see whether the dog is real or not, but it looks awesome. Maybe you think your new ones are alot better, and they are marvalous none-the-less, but the Guard has to be your number 1, IMHO.

You are a fantastic photographer, Andross. Ever thought about making this your life, or is it just a simple hobby -- I think you could get very far with this.

The thought of a career has passed my mind, but I would have to either:
a ) Get a lucrative scholarship or offer from National Geographic
b ) Already have a good deal of print business which I can live off of in addition to commercial work on occassion

My main career I am looking into doing is web design, which could also overflow into various areas of digital interactive media design (which is the actual degree I'd get, from what I can tell). We'll see as time goes on =)

HOLY, U R MY GOD.
Andross = = those architectural shots are amazing.
Although in terms of expression/atmosphere/strength, the two you highlighted were the most dominant. =p Very very cool.
Its totally amazing and it's really times like this that make me really see how powerful art truely is. I swear to god... I can SEE the damn wind.

Yeah, she's a friend from my photo class. I took these at an area behind an old abandoned cotton mill. I really like urban decay stuff - this place was perfect. I want to go there again.

God forbid you have a girl in a photo without a line of questioning and interigation, jeez Zxor lol.

The photos are very good, I like your originality. Instead of continuous pictures of water in a line a glasses or a pond with ripples (Although cool lol) so I find your photography very good. Keep up the great work, :P.

It's good, but I don't get a feel for the chase. I see it but I don't feel it. Either the title does not live up to the picture. Or the picture does not live up to the title.

I appreciate critiques, but if you are just going to mention you don't think the title fits..... wtf? It may not be some incredible title, but seriously, you could at least judge the photo.

Aw, i was hoping you'd do a valentines special or something =p it woulda been cool. anyways...
"Chase" is absolutely stunning! I love the setting... props and that effect. It looks like a slide that would flash before someone's eyes the split second before death. When i look at it, i can hear that buzzing sound those slideshow projectors always make. I really have no idea how you did it, but everything just came together in the end and made the photo come to life. Truely amazing.

I really only composed the shot. No post processing whatsoever. I just had the idea, had her stand there, composed, and clicked. I like the natural radial blurring and, in the print, she comes into sharp focus. It's pretty cool.

I tried to do something like shatter for ages but could never get it right. I think there is a failed attempt in my art topic somewhere, but your's looks fantastic. good job.

I'm not so attracted to 'frost', it just doesn't do much for me.

Distinct is proably my favourite. I like the colours. Nice pic of you too.
