Artemis Fowl Books, Movie

The main character, Artemis Fowl himself, was very well done. He's mysterious, you don't know what's going on through the kid's head unless the narrator states it. Yet at the same time the author managed to do it in a very non-cliche way. Brilliant!
The story has a touch of fantasy in that there are a "magic" race living below ground. Called fairies, but they're not the traditional wand-in-hand-cure-all-your-Heart-Containers type of fairy, so don't worry about that. But I'm sick of writing so I'll let your figure out about it yourself.
Anyway, to those of you who have read it, there's an Artemis Fowl movie coming out eventually. Not much info on it, truthfully, they just say they're working on it. o.o

As for the movie, it's been confirmed that someone is going to MAKE one, but it would seem they haven't casted anybody yet.

We've got nothing on it so far, except that it is directed by Larry Guterman (director of Cats and Dogs and Son of the Mask), produced by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro, and distributed by Miramax. Nothing on the cast or anything fun.

Looks like they got a decent guy for Butler. Although, I haven't really heard anything about any of that guys movies, I'll admit.

I feel sorry for the kid they had picked. Unfortunate that he got too old to play the part!

I doubt a fifth book would be made. I think that the 4th book wasn't great and they should have left it at 3.

It's sooooo much better than the Opal Deception, which was awful in my opinion, and it's definitly worth getting!

By the way, the "little" book you were referring to, that is "The Wish List", correct?

Nope. The Wish List is another book by Eoin Colfer but it's not part of the Artemis Fowl Series.
I meant the book that was written for World Book day, which was called Artemis Fowl: The Seventh Dwarf. It's only about 50 or 60 pages.

After the Eternity Code, there was The Opal Deception, which was decent, and The Lost Colony, which was weirder and not much like the first four. I didn't like it too much, the weird factor was a little too big there.
