The more the delay, the better the game! <_< Well, Lara Croft: Angel of Darkness was an exception... but still!

Honestly, why are these things always interpreted correctly?

Twilight Princess was delayed from late 2005 to sometime in 2006. It was NEVER officially confirmed by Nintendo WHEN it would be released. Yes, it's been listed as a potential spring release, but again, it wasn't an actual confirmation.

Therefore, this technically is not a delay.

On a positive note... this delay opens the opportunity for possible Revolution functionality, since the releases are now much closer.

Who really said there was going to be Revolution functionality? <_<

I so seriously doubt there will be any Revo functions for TP. It's made on GAMECUBE stuff for crying out loud.

Except for a rebuttal to WD's latest statement...with this quote. Reggie makes it sound like it's being looked into by...a ton.

I wasn't expecting it any sooner than that really. I believed it was going to be very close to the release of the Rev.

It's annoying that people have to wait until autumn for the game, but I suppose they're just trying to make it better.

Daymn Twilight Princess in Fall really ruins it for me and many other European players. Shiiiit man why? The Revo comes around that time to, this totally screws it since it will look like sh!t on the Revo since it's a GameCube game. Why Nintendo? Cmon, we know it's gonna be a great game but if they still can finish it around June it would be sweet.

Yeah I know but its kinda of a waste. I mean Revo games are "supposed" to have better quality then GameCube huh? Well it would be VERY disapointing if we all have the Revo, TP and SSBR and SSBR looks like 10 times better only because it's a Revo game. It would be a waste because you know better looking games are being made while your still playing a GameCube game. That's what bothers me...

TP already looks pretty good for this current time of gaming. Besides, games fresh released on a fresh, new console never look as good as the console is actually capable of. A good example is the PS2. The really, really early games on the PS2 looked pretty blocky, but look at the PS2 games now. They look amazing!

I bet you that SSBR will only looks slightly better than TP. :P It's not like we've seen any screenshots of SSBR anyway, or even a release date for that matter. You're just complaining about nothing, no offense. <_<

Indeed. And DiddyKong, I still don't understand the point you're trying to make. The Revolution is backwards compatible, it even has a special GameCube "dock" dedicated solely for GameCube controllers and memory cards. Essentially, with regards to titles like Twilight Princess, you can very well think of it as a GameCube.

And Wind Dude makes a fair point; early games for a console never look as good as the system is capable of.

As an example, recall a few years ago, at the SpaceWorld 2000 expo, Nintendo displayed the Project Dolphin's (i.e. the Gamecube) technical capabilities, with this brief, technical trailer for a next generation Zelda game. Compare that with these trailers of Twilight Princess, and see how far the console has come.

I think what he means is that TP, when released, will look out-of date when compared to the Revo games released near TP's launch. Which is a good point, but I still say that the early games on the Revo will only be only a few notches, if better at all, than the GameCube's capabilities.

'Sides, the game looks pretty good anyway. Although the textures look a little weird sometimes and the eniroment looks like it has only a few polygons l when compared to the way Link looks. <_< How many polygons does Link have in this game anyway?

Good question... As a comparison, Leon from Resident Evil 4, for the GameCube, has around twenty thousand polygons, and I'd say he and Link look fairly similar in terms of polish.

I can't say if this is a bad or good thing. I can't wait to play this game(I don't think there is a game I've ever wanted to play more), but also there are quite a number of games I'm planning to play soon, before TP, so if it's released later it won't make no difference to me. I think this'll hurt the sails though...

I don't care if the graphics look cr@py compared to SSBR. The important thing is, it's bound to be an awesome game.

Examples of games that have been released late that were incredible:

                                      Half-Life 2
                                      LoZ: Ocarina of Time

Need I say more? The game will be out before the end of GC's run.
