Amazingly ignored at E3 was the release of FF3 for the DS. And... wow, is all I, or anyone else can say.

    Ones like this in particular:

Look at these pictures... the cutscenes... is this actually possible on the DS? I'm buying a DS Lite June 7th or 1st, can't remember, and it could be just for this game. Become breathless like me, and look at these incredible pictures.

The screenshots that I have seen look great. I was considering this before hand, and what's been shown at E3 has encouraged me to buy it when it comes out.

GSM, you underestimate what the DS is capable of. FFIII's FMV portrayal looks similar to that of Fire Emblem's.

I bet you that those cut-scenes are pre-rendered. In other words, the DS isn't actually powering the graphics.

It's about damn time we got some graphics in a game that actually shows off some of the capability of the DS. I mean, geez, Mario 64... Animal Crossing? C'mon.

Well, mario 64 DS had as good of graphics as mario sunshine. But I doubt that the cut scenes are real screens . Could be wrong though.

These cut scenes remind me of a FF movie I saw a bit of on the TV. The people looked almost real, but somehow, something didn't look right. Then I figured out they were computer generated. But they were so well done that I easily misstook them for real people.

Square has a habit of making FMV sequences with almost lifelike characters. See, look at Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. The opening sequence was a cell-shaded little bit. Looked pretty nice. Looked as if an N64 played it. THAT was on GBA. Imagine what would be possible with the graphics boost of DS.

I never thought of it that way. But if I get this (which I probably will), it will be the first FF game I've played.

Yeah, it'll be the first FF game I've played too, since I never had a PlayStation and for some reason never got one for the GBA. I think I will get a Final Fantasy for my GBA.

Has anyone played Crystal Chronicles for the GC? I think it's awesome and I'm really sad I can't play it, since I odn't have 4 GBA's. The DS and Wii versions will be excelent!

This next year is promising some great graphical updates to the DS. The games are starting to push the limits of its graphical power. This game and Phantom Hourglass are perfect examples. I can't wait to see more.

I'm glad to see the shift to 3D on handhelds, but they need to keep the 2D games as well!

Yeah, like Kirby: Canvas Curse. That was 2D, and it was a fun game.

                              1. If you think FF CC is good, you've never played FF - IT SUCKS!!!

                              2. I have played them all except the original 3, which is why I'm getting a DS.

Yeah. I f I didn't have a DS, I'd go for the Wii first as well. But I'd eventually get a DS for the linkup capabilities on certain games. Like the Tingle Tuner in WW.

The thing is, the DS has some awesome games that I really want to play like Wi-Fi Animal Crossing, Wi-Fi Mario Kart and, later on, Wi-Fi Crystal Chronicles. But the Wii wil also have those three games one day along with others the DS won't have like SSB and Mario Galaxy.

Yeah, probably, I don't think Square said anything about the game yet, all they stated was that they are making it(and that it will most likely be a launch title), but having it go online and putting in a 4 player campaign would sell the game, like, REALLY well.

I would but it for sure - only one problem - you wouldn't always be playing with the same people, but oh well. And what is left after campaign mode?
