Discuss the things you love and hate about GS,
Those times that you feel frustrated,
That time when you just beat the hardest boss you've faced and the batteries ran out,
And when you just got to the last line of the gold code and the batteries ran out ( Now THATS a bugger! )

Discuss everything you love AND hate. The times that you just wanna snap the game in half :!: , the times when you want to kiss it ^_^ !

Since my own topic is down in the trash, I guess this can live.

I hate the fusion dragon entrance animations. Only 2-3 frames, and those are for it moving it's heads up and down. Nothing else. So stupid...

EDIT: I changed "doom" to "fusion" since this is a GS1 topic. -Nick

Awesome avatar and sig set sisbag, love em.
I don't like the differences between GS1 and GS2, it would have been better if they were the same except for story map characters etc.

I don't like all the facial expression icons when they're talking. It stretches out the conversations and it gets REALLY boring.

I also don't like how (much more so in GS2) where the game is extremely non-linear. You have to go through like... 5 dungeons and all you get is some items and spells, with absolutely nothing relevant to the plot.

Boring Dialog. It's annoying. And the story was a little draggy. Short game. I beat it in less than a day when I first played. Also, the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG conversations. WAY TOO LONG!

Yeah dialog is a major downside to the games all the smily and angry faces, and it takes so long, i'm just like "I WANNA PLAY THE GAME NOW"

I didn't find many downsides to the game. But then again, I only realy look out for game-play, story-line and graphics. And i didnt find many problems with those.

Thats all I really look for too. Sound is unimportant. Gameplay is the most important to me, what good is a game if it's hard to play. Story is also integral.

The dialogue is sorta long too. But I enjoy them sometimes.

Actually, that is one of the better things, the game being non-linear... it's not like, say, the Pokemon games where everything has to be done in a specific order. It gives you sort of a freedom to play however you wish...

But I see what you mean. It's like the three pieces of the Trident, and the four elemental rocks where you gain corresponding Psynergy and such...

I'm weird... I kind of like linearness. Like in FF VII. I, for some reason, really like how it's *cutscene* "do something" *cutscene* "do something", etc. I know it's all a matter of personal preferance, because some people really hate that style, but it's just what I prefer. Not to say that open-ended games aren't bad, all games need to have SOME non-linear parts, I just wished GS2 wasn't so non-linear.

I also like the talking. I like heavy story elements.

                              Same here...

Hmm, random battles get SO annoying at times... or when a Djinni flees...
There are also a few plot holes in the game... and how the RNG functions in Golden Sun. It can easily be manipulated for Item Drops and such...

I found GS to be quite good. The dialogue wasn't too bad. It really showed off the graphic capabilities on the GBA and was fun to play.

A good game in my book.

just th conversations... they take too long. from 30 hours of the game... 20 of them are talking (by speaking of ofcourse)
further more, also the dragon... and then that sometimes the game won't accept gold codes :S

Yeah the conversations did drag on for what felt like an eternity. The biggest frustration for me was when I saved it after Fusion Dragon and then realised that i'm stuck in Lalivero, which is quite frankly, the WORST town in the history of every game EVER.

I loved fighting things, collecting armours and weapons and levelling up.
I despised the cut scenes, they DIDN'T end, especially the optional ones like talking to Hamma after rescueing him (that is optional isn't it?)
