Why is it that every skin must be a single colour? I understand the element idea, but wouldn't it be kinder to the eyes to make a skin with 'normal' colours? I would especially like to see what the banner looks like in full spangly colour.

Wow, you sure do like to ask a lot of questions Split. I don't really care about multi-coloured skins, if they existed I would still probably use the Mercury skin.

Yes Aqua, in fact if you look closely, you'll see that 90% of my posts contain at least one question mark.

We have had different skins before. One April Fool's Nick made a skin, can't remember what it was called. But if you want a new skin I guess you have to make your own or talk to Max or w/e...

I mean, you often make topics in the site-related and suggestions part of the forums. I'm not saying that's not a bad thing. Sorry if I offended you or something.

Did I seem sarcastic? I didn't realise. But it's true! Almost all of my posts contain one or more question marks. I'm proving this to you now just by making this post.

Please, just stay on topic. No need to bicker about.

If you took the time to actually think about the images in the banner and the way they're blended, it would look awkward without a colour masking them.

If you create a skin for this forum and Max doesn't mind, I will totally install it. I will even modify the CSS so the skin works perfectly but you need to create the base skin (CSS and Images).

I'll echo what Nick said: if you want to create a skin, and if Nick and I approve of its quality, then we would happily put it into the skin list. I have more pressing things to worry about though, so I won't be making a new one myself, but feel free to make one yourself.

Look at any of the Invision Board resource sites, they all have tutorials on how to make skins. Just google "Invision Board skin tutorial" and you'll probably find some decent results.

Try the resource topic in this forum. There are IPB tutorial websites there. You'll obviously need a good image-editing program, a professional one. That is, if you want to make soemthing equal to what we have now.

I'd like to propose the idea that we make Saturos (blue - silver) and Menardi (red + yellow) skins. The difference is that the colours have a metallic sheen to them. If I can get a copy of Photoshop, I could see what I can do.

I've made skins before, IPB ones aren't that difficult. I use Photoshop CS.
You can download a trial from the Adobe website.

I still don't know how to MAKE A SKIN. Why can't I be given a simple solution!?

You know what, forget it. Screw the new skin. I haven't the time or patience for it anyway.
