GS On SNES What If?

The early 90's were still a time of growth for the home console market, and RPG's were hard to come by (excluding, of course, Final Fantasy). What if, Golden Sun had been released on the SNES.
I know what you're thinking, it's not realistic. But let's put aside business and political reasons and just think how much bigger of a splash this game (and GS2 for that matter) would have made on a platform that was very popular.

I was just trying to make the point that this game would've been much more popular had it been released 10 years before it's actual release date.

In the case of Golden Sun however, I'm not sure that the SNES would be able to handle the game. The graphics wouldn't be of the same standard, and it probably wouldn't fit on a single cartridge anyway.

And anyway, as far as I know, Golden sun(both of the games) were quite popular. Am I wrong?

I still prefer Golden Sun on the GBA for its portability. I reckon the music is just awesome, so the headphone jack is absolutely paramount. Of course you could always hook yourself up to a TV with a headphone jack, but that just looks stupid.

You wouldn't be alone about your views on the music. One magazine said it was the best on GBA. I might agree with that.

But I do enjoy it being on GBA, so I can play it any time I want when I'm not home.

Golden Sun did not have a synth choir for the overworld theme and main theme. It's just violin and trumpet noises. If you want to hear a synth choir, listen to the song when you are learnign how to maneuver around Colosso by the guides. Either that, "Everything into the Dark" for Fire Emblem and "One-Winged Angel" by Nobuo Uematsu would be good examples.
GS did have good music and would have a just about equal counterpart on the SNES. The capabilites were really good, seeing as Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu's capabilites were top-notch.
Oh, and the only reason FE's music wasn't much a hit for variety was because it focused on recurring themes to make the player comfortable.

Didn't Nobuo Uematsu do the theme 'to Zanarkand' for FFX? Thats an amazing piece of music right there.
If I can but in and offer my two cents, I don't think that Golden Sun would have been as successful on the SNES compared to the GBA.
One, GS would of have to had to compare to: Final Fantasy Mystic Quest through to FF5. Secert of Mana 1 and 2, Chrono Trigger and the FE's. And those are only the ones I know off.
I really don't think it would of stood out as much, I think it would have been good but not as exceptional as we all think. On the GBA it was the first and IMO the only game that really put the GBA to use, maybe that and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, but in all fairness KH:CoM was only realeased like 2 years ago, already had a huge fan base and was made by Square, which again IMO is enough right there. Not a strong point I know but Square makes such quaility games.
