DS Lite

The color is in black. I'm pretty lucky to have been in UK last week to get one since we don't have Black [yet] in the States. In a way I hope we never get black here because the DS Lite is about $20 (about 10 pounds) more expensive in the UK, and that would mean I'd wasted $20...
I'd reccomend the DS Lite to everybody - particularily those who have waited to get a DS for whatever reason.
Do you got yours?!

It's annoying though. The moment I got my GBA Nintendo announced the SP and the situation is the same here.

I didn't notice because I was playing the New Super Mario Bros. (where you don't need diagonals lol!) but now that I play ACWW it's just... argh!!

But I'd actually prefer a black DS Lite. Any word on when that will be launching stateside?

BUT WAIT FOR A NEW BATCH OF DS LITES!! 60% of the current ones don't like it when you press diagonally on the D-Pad! I might just get mine sent to Nintendo so that they can fix my cheap-ass D-Pad.

Anyways, the DSLite I imported yadaya months ago from Japan has always had a fine D-pad, so it's probably just that they rushed to get more Lites out in the states sooner, and cut back on quality or assurance. Looks like it hurt them, badly. Ah well, I got mine all working and I'm happy. <_<

The bad D-Pads will accept diagonals if you press it just right. It's not like the original DS where you just had to slide your thumb around slightly, you actually have to push your thumb in the direction you want.
So for now, I just have to get used to it until I can see if I can get it fixed some way. I'm surprised that this hasn't been discussed by IGN or Gamespot more, considering that it seems to be a big problem that alot of people have.

I'm gonna be so annoyed when my sister eventually buys a DS, because she will end up with a Lite. It was bad enough when she showed me her boyfriend's GBA SP, but this will really annoy me.

It isn't that I don't have the money, it's that I'm not willing to spend more for a console I rarely use...
