Right now I'm replaying GS 1...and darn, all of the times that I've re-played it, I always forget to go to Lunpa before crossing the Mogall Woods ~.~

    And then, when I get the opportunity to go back to Lunpa, it's darn easy because of my levels ^o^;;

Has this happened to anyone else here o.o?

You can only go to Lunpa when you have the cloak ball. You cannot go there before Mogall Woods. Well, you can enter the town, but not the castle itself.

How does a person forget Lunpa. Isn't it kinda essential to the game?

no, you can skip it. I never have, though. I'm thinking of having a file where I skip ALL of the mini-quests. I won't save Jill (that girl who you save from getting washed downstream), Hsu or Hammet. I'll go back just before I beat the game to see what happens to hsu, hammet and jill. hopefully something.........interesting...

I forgot to save poor Jill the first time I played. Her friends where all saying about how sad they where that she washed away, and I actually followed the river, expecting to find her washed up near Xian or something.......

If you save Jill, you receive a nice Apple to increase your attack...
Beating Lunpa is not essential, true, but you will find the Mercury Djinn Tonic... plus, in GS2, if you transfer your data, I believe you will be given an Orihilcoan (spelling?)...

It would still be cool to see what happens to them If you don't bother with them. I won't experiment with is though. Perhaps later. Someone else will do it.

actually, it's a "hard nut", not an apple, but it is still worth doing.

Actualy, I would rather have a hard nut. Defense is somewhat needed with my Ivan. Then Lunpa is a must for me.

Strange... I thought it was an Apple... I apologize...

But nothing really happens if you do not defeat Lunpa... you will essentially be missing out, however...

I don't actualy think anything will change in the game. Mabey people will start to call you unfair in the game but that isn't possible.

And by the way, my favourite djinn is in Lunpa. Oh and i'm also assuming that you get Luff in Lunpa and if you don't, then my favourite djinn is NOT in Lunpa lol :(

The only way to get intp Lunpa Fortress is to use the Cloak Ball. Not much point in going there before you get that.

Didn't forget Lunpa myself but did find it annoying trying to dodge all those guards and getting caught while in there, and having to go all the way back to the beginning making you more impulsive and annoyed when going through again, then getting caught because of this then it happening again, and again and (if you happen to be really unlucky) again. It's a viciouse cycle you can't escape from, grrr.
                                        Lol.

If you save at crutial locations, you can just reset and continue. You don't have to start "from the beginning" again.

I think he means the Mayor of Vault. If you talk to him after you defeat the Bandits, they come back in TLA for a "rematch."

You then get the Golden Boots IIRC.

I never realy missed lunpa (only before the saves I did before I knew about that side quest), but I did once have to go way back cause I forgot it, I even had to leave Ioden waiting for me at the bridge again...

Same here. This time around, I plan on finishing that side-quest after Colloso in Tolbi (once you “borrow” the cloak ball, of course, from Lord Babi). I had always wondered why the boss battle there was relatively simple…

The first time i played GS i missed it and it never occurred to me, then near to the end i notice i was a djinni down and where i was there was no chance of finding one now... so when i replayed it i was training a noticed the bridge was fixed and i thought "there must be a reason" so i checked out the Vale and then the cave by Lunpa and thats how i found out.

Yeah, I always to Lunpa after I get to Kalay, so it makes it easy to beat. I don't mind it being so easy. It makes a hard level easy. So?
