Well, I finally made an art topic. I'm only so-so at Photoshop, and I suck at drawing.

So, first off are some of the backgrounds I made. They aren't that awesome, But I like some of them. Geez, I can't type today.

I'm linkning them because they are big. Photobucket sucks. Posting them as full sized images.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/sunsetbackground.png

I spent a while on that, got impatient, and just finished it.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/burst.png

I like this one. I was just playing around with filters, and got this.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/tileything.png

I did this one in about 6 minutes.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/greenery.png

This one couldn't have taken too long either.

    SIGS:
These are some of the better sigs I have in my opinion.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/abstractsig-1.png

    Yay!

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/relientk.png

    ^Favoritist!

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/sparklysig.png

I think this one is pretty cool.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/orbsig.gif

This one is just a mishmash of like 6 tutorials. Doesn't really flow/have a mood. Oh well.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/seasonsig.gif

I like this, I'll have to redo the borders so they don't look like crap.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/wintersig.gif

    Wintery Goodness.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/fishsigcopy.png

One of the first ones ever. It needs to be polished. And bordered. But I like the fish.

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/chickensig.png

    Yesssssssss!

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/Sigs/siggy2copy.png

Not very good. Buuuuttt.....Its the granddaddy of them all!!

So. Go commenting about your business. Or don't. Did that make sense?

    EDIT:
Photobucket insists on making everything so darn small. Should I post them as images? May as well.

    EDIT:
    WHY IS EVERYTHING TINY???

They're pretty good I have to admit. The one as your sig right now is great, but the Island is a bit too gritty. To make it look like sand and not be gritty, try using single pixels to do detail instead of groups. But great none-the-less.

Well, my current one is a little rough, if you look you'll notice that the sun looks like crap, as does the reflection. Also some of the text doesn't a look quite in place. But if you're just scanning down a page, it looks pretty good.

The reflection and sun is okay, and the water is great, but you should use only one font type in a single sig, and the island could use some smoothing out.

[EDIT] Here, I smoothed out the island, and changed the font of your name, but I couldn't find the font you used.

            http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/7353/relientk1iz3.png

All I did to smooth out the island was smudge it in circular motions over the spots.

Geez, I haven't made anything in a while...But, I've got a fancy new sig! Yay!

              http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v734/flamingduck33/grassland.png

I'm trying to focus on creating things in Photoshop right now, not just editing other pictures. So, this is a grassy one...I think there's something wrong with the mountains, but I can't put my finger on it. That, and I'm not too sure about the text. But since my magnificent army of fonts got deleted, I just got annoyed and picked one.

The only thing I don't like about your sigs, are the artificial naturey look about them. They are pretty well made though. I prefer to take pictures that work well together, blend them into one, and put a symbol that fits both of them in the center. The only thing that takes me long is eraseing the stuff around the edges of the symbol. I need to find better ideas though.
Oh, and what's wrong with your mountains, is that the one on the left should curve into the side. It should just drop off like a plateu. And the ridges are a little big. That's all.

Dont use so many filters, it gives a lame/fake look to them. Learn how to use brushwork.

I don't I think I used that many filters on that one...But yeah, that one was kinda rushed, and I just didn't know how to fix the cheapness, so I just posted it.

The grass is a little too light, for one. That's one thing that makes it look a bit cheap.

                        Few things wrong with it

1)The black lines seperating each season gives it a very boring look.
                        2)The boarder is too big
3)Each season appears very blurry to me, especially winter and fall.
4)Your font on your name is much to be desired.

Somia, your signatures have been so beautiful since you joined. One of these days you have to make a little tutorial on your bluring, it makes the work look so mystical.
