I'm sad to announce that GSA's online GS battling game War of the Adepts has been shutdown as of yesterday by it's owner and creator ikillkenny. For those of you that do not know, WotA was created about 2 years ago and is so far the only online multiplayer game about Golden Sun. Many people enjoyed playing on it, and a few programmers from the GSA forums are going to attempt to continue development even without ikillkenny.

You know, that's about the last time I see an internet game go down in horrific dissapointment, all because of a few retarded hackers. These people are complete know-nothings, and yet they suffice to pleasure of destroying others' dreams and memories. Nothing is funny about this, even though it didn't really work out slightly what the graphics intended to be, IKK had a dream, and it was dismantled; for good. I'd kill those sons of a pig's arse, wherever they are.

It's a disgrace; truly inhuman. But ...

ah man! i played it almost everyday. i loved it. my character was so strong, and i had so much fun in this game... well, i hope the others will make it as good as Ikillkenny did

Dang, I never heard of that game, but ive read strategy guides, walktroughs, and FAQs by ikillkenny and those were really good. Wish i'd have found that site...

I downloaded once and I didn't like it one bit, but thats just me, I've seen his walkthrough though, very sweet!

I downloaded it a while back, and although I played it a bit at first I thought it wasn't THAT good for an internet game, but full credit to ikilkenny.

I didn't play it myself because I was to late but my friend played everyday for like 5 hours so it was obviously a good game then again he is a TOTAL goldensun freak he can complete the games in a day he finished without cheats with lvs 142

For those saying his dream was crushed:
The game was about 3 years old. I wouldn't say his dream was ruined because it was already completed. In addition, IKK probably had many other reasons, for he's going to college, the people who used their PCs as a server for the game have left, and the game had been dropping in usage for a while.

NOTICE: The Golden Sun Anonymous section of Doc-Ent was hacked and it seems everything was deleted. But for whatever reason, they did not go and hack the forums or Doc-Ent part of the site. Go fig...

1. We'll still have it on the site

2. we could make it better so it will have like a section to make your charater
like on Tony Hawk's Underground

You could already make your own character, but IKK did it in a competition style, so you had to work for it. Unfortunately, GSA is seeing it's own decline. After all, GS is pretty dead. I don't notice much activity relating to GS in these forums either (although, that's probably just me, 'cause I don't visit those parts of the board :P). I just come because there are some good people here that I like to chat with :)
